EDIT: August 22, 2018: A few people have brought to my attention that they can't find the Companion app on the app store- so odd! I still have it on my iPhone, and a lot of other people have been able to download it. I've emailed Companion support to see whats up with that and will get back to you when they reply... although it's been a week and I haven't heard anything and my own app hasn't been working, so if they reply I'll update it. If not- sorry seems like it might be discontinued :(

i never understood the sleep cycle app cuz why do u have to put the time like for example: 8:00-8:30. why not just set an alarm for 8:30 instead of waking up between 8:00-8:30??

Because if you set it at 8:30 you might be at a point in your cycle where it’s difficult to wake up. But if you give it a 30 minute window then it’s likely you’ll be at a point in your cycle where you’re in light sleep and it will be easier to wake up. When you give it that 30 min window then the app will wake you up when at the best point of your cycle within that window so it’s easier on your body to get up

Hey! I use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit, so once I had the screen recording I just set it as the top video layer of my project (other programs like Final Cut Pro are able to do the same- iMovie might also do the same but not fully sure about that one). Hope this helps

So I try my best to use those alarm apps with tricks such as, "You can only get up if you do 10 math problems, walk around," etc. However, I find all of the loopholes when I am half asleep oddly enough, and I've trained my brain to just shut off my phone. Any suggestions?

I've been there!! The app I mentioned was super useful because the alarm literally won't shut off unless your iphone detects you're walking using the pedometer. But I guess if you shook the phone really hard you might be able to trick it into thinking you're walking?? have you tried that?? Besides that, another good trick is to put your phone where you can't reach it from bed- put it across the room so you physically have to stand up to turn it off :) hope some of this helped!

I don't use an app - I use a program called Adobe Premiere Pro! but I'm sure there's apps that do the same - essentially you would just make the phone pic or screen recording a new layer and put it on top of the video :)

Spencer Lupul hi! It was just a little slow- I had to go in an edit some parts of it later, which is why the battery switches. But after I restarted the phone a few days later and updated it I haven’t had an issue!
