It's definitely very cool .There is so much stuff out there that it's hard to keep track .The dollar is worth big money down in Argentina right now. Inflation is crazy high, and I'm not sure how people are surviving down there.Bootleg Joe's look sweet.

Love buying toys like this. Big lots from other countries. Used to do it from Japan. Nothing recreates that childhood Christmas-like wonder like getting a bunch of cool foreign stuff And yeah. Posing is an art. It's tough. I do photography and struggled with it for quite a while. Gotta keep at it. Use as much articulation as the figure will allow. For limited articulation obviously use poses that fit the limitations. Move your body in the way you want the figure to be and try to copy it. Over and over.

I love 80s and 90s bootleg stuff. It was difficult for a kid like ne to get the genuine articles, either too expensive or simply not for sale in my country. I remember having the worst TMNT knock offs. A rambo knock off and a couple of wrestlers.

I'm not really a variant collector but I remember when I stumbled upon a early Thunderhawk production that I bought (that seams to be the only M.A.S.K. vehicle variant). Only its taillights are different but it felt like finding an artifact!

When I was in the USN, we had a port stop in Hong Kong. This was around the time of the 90's Power of the Force line came out. I bought a Luke in X-wing uniform at the mall. It had both English and Mandarin on the card. I'd love to travel and toy shop, it would be fun to see all the crazy bootlegs out there.

I was just telling my mom the other day I still resented her and dad for not getting me that set at Sears that year, she told me they went back multiple times but it was always sold out lol. They made up for it with the OG Megatron, Galvatron, and later Omega Supreme though :)!

I was at a toy con in coco beach a few weeks ago and a guy had a whole bunch of those mega fighter transformers. The packaging on them looks like dollar store packaging but the sculpts on the figures looked spot on but they were slightly larger overall. I could see a decent market for them. I almost bought a trans metal Cheetor he had. They’re pretty damn cool, but if I bought it I would take it out of the package.. but without the package there’s no appeal.. so I passed

@@toyfederation nah, most of that stuff isn’t/wasn’t true to the original line of whatever it is that someone is collecting. Like for instance my Kenner Super Powers collection. I just had to say no to all the South American stuff and similar. If it didnt get the Kenner stamp, then I pass on it.
