Those Halo figures are never going to going up in value. The JoyRide Halo 1 figures might fetch a few bucks because not many were produced, but all the rest were mass produced and many of them were kept in the box as a display piece.

I feel bad for the older guy for trying to help his friends mom who overpaid for items that he doesn't know much about what he has. I feel like he went by the friends valuation and thought he was going to make good money. I know that when I die someone will either buy all of my collectibles or they will be tossed. Until that day, my collection will stay with me. I couldn't imagine selling any of it.

It hurt my heart a little when the Star Wars guy said he didn't grow up with it, so he doesn't have the nostalgia but I can appreciate how well he took care of the toys of my childhood. We had so many Star Wars toys and cards that just got run through the ringer as kids. If only we had that magic ball to tell us these would be so valuable in the future.

Boxes are hard to deal with.. I sold most of my PotF figs years ago, had a huge suitcase full of the boxes and cardback/blisters... 0 people wanted them with the figs, or even just for free. They ended up in the recycling when I had to move house. Now I have kids and a cupboard full of Lego boxes lol... Think they are going to be destined for the same fate.

Thank you guys for giving the community the gift of your store and it’s no surprise that it’s become an attraction for people across the country. id say wrestling memorabilia is a good buy especially with the resurgence in popularity, however last couple of years hogans reputation kinda downward spiraled when people realized how much he was blatantly lying about, and how he really treated other wrestlers back then.

I collected 1,000 of these figures from 1995-to 2000. A few years ago, I donated them all to Toys for Tots. It's sad to see them go, but I hope the kids who got them enjoyed them. Like I did hunting and collecting them.

Hey man, i'd buy a set of scuffed he-man for my kids if I saw it. Not sure if a lot of people would but just an idea.

And this is a huge reason why when buying a vintage action figure or video game you should most DEFINITELY buy something that has an acceptable level of wear. If I see a vintage NES or SNES game that I want, I look for one with a modestly worn label. Clean labels or a super clean vintage figure in this day and age means repro or fake.

One caution for vintage toys with batteries....ALWAYS check the contacts, make sure they didn't oxidize from leaving in a battery. Once the contacts oxidize, the electronics will never work again

The Movie Maniacs and McFarland horror toys don't appreciate much because when people buy them they like to display them in the packaging. I'd hazard that most units sold are never opened. Part of that can be put squarely on McFarland for making figures and packaging them TOO NICELY.
