I'm so glad I found your channel last night, it's so much fun to watch and such an eye candy😍 Thank you for sharing. Wouldyou please make a separate video of your 16" Robert Tonner dolls? I saw your introductions of them in several videos of yours, but I couldn't find any video completely dedicated to them, showing each and every of them alltogether and separately. And one more question: how do you deal with chips and cracks of their plastic, especially shoulders? I also have some RT dolls in my collection and though I do not literally touch them (they are cept in glass curios) almost all those who have Tan skintone got cracks simply standing there. It disappoints me a lot as, like you, I like those marvellous long evening gowns Robert's team has created, and so many of them do not cover dolls' shoulders(((

@@bambi2404 hi there, my most recent video is the closest I have done to dedicating a video to the Tonner collection. If you haven’t watched it yet you will definitely enjoy it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2qknKGMmLyKZqMsi=fGRYASSYWV0xFsvy When all my dolls are unpacked again and on display I can do an even more comprehensive one, but that could still be a while. I do find that chips and cracks are a problem. Cracks I deal with with super glue and then light sanding afterwards to hold them in place and protect the vinyl, which I have had good success with. If chips are very bad, I have used epoxy to fill, then sanded and painted, but the results are mixed, so I usually only do this if the body is unusable without (for example, I have repaired broken necks in this way). I know exactly the frustration you feel, but there is no perfect answer to this problem, unfortunately!

What a lovely video. I am new to the world of doll collecting but have always loved them and was fascinated by them. I have owned 2 Gene Marshall dolls since I was a little girl but donated them some time ago. I am curious, are the bodies of the Kingdom Doll, Poppy Parker and Tonner dolls interchangeable? I assume the proportions and mechanics of the head joint have to be the same in order to be able to switch out heads/bodies?
@RhiellasDolls21 күн бұрын
@@fineartlifestyle yes, you are right about the heads and neck joints. Some are interchangeable, but they have to have similar neck size, same joint style, and also comparable body colour. Gene Marshall is much paler colour than Tonner dolls and her neck size is a little smaller, so even though the joint style is the same, they aren’t compatible. Kingdom Doll, because she is a strung resin doll, has a different joint style: you can swap her head with other strung resin dolls like Jamieshow and Ficon if the neck size and colour are similar. Generally speaking, Gene can swap with Poppy Parker 16”, Alex by Madame Alexander and Antoinette by Tonner - but the skin colour is often not accurate. Pretty much all Tonner dolls can swap with each other, even if the body style is quite different, and can also interchangeable with Franklin Mint 16 inch dolls.

I noticed that most of the Alex dolls on eBay had that vinyl color change flaw where the body turns darker than the head. I was really surprised because my vinyl Madame Alexander dolls that are 50 yrs old are still the same original skin tone. I wonder if this affected all the Alex dolls or just some 🤔 (I'm new to high fashion dolls but not doll collecting; I have 2 Genes, Brenda Starr, and a Tyler knockoff 🐈)

Yes, it's a real pity. A lot of my Alexes have yellowed bodies too. It seems to have been a particular era of doll production that this was very common, something that was used in the processing at that time. A lot of Genes from the middle era also have it. It's not all Alexes, but it is definitely a lot.

I love all of your dolls but my favorite is Helen, the Kingdom doll. Approximately how much do they cost? What is the website of the company that sells them?
@RhiellasDolls11 ай бұрын
Thanks so much. Helen is also one of my absolute favourites. They are about $800 direct from Kingdom Doll, but as the sales are very competitive (often selling out in a few seconds) this can be extremely difficult. Secondhand prices are around $1000. Here is the website: kingdomdoll.co.uk
