Thats just a bold faced lie. When you google "bratz creator" the image you used is the first one, meaning that you never searched Carter by name and just used the first info you could get off the one "bratz creator" search

I was a freelance graphic designer and illustrator on the Pinkie Cooper project! I was responsible for some illustration work and mocking up merch which included stickers, clothes, shoes and more. @melonleaf245
@melonleaf245 3 ай бұрын
@@candy-kp8bbnot a weird question at all! I did a four year bachelor of design program at a university but there are lots of options for college and online schooling nowadays! I also recommend networking as much as you can because I get all my clients through word of mouth or through other clients. Finally, the last piece of advice I have is put the type of work you want to be doing in your portfolio so that you can attract the type of clients you want and get paid to do the type of work you want. It’s totally okay to create your own personal projects or mock client projects in your portfolio when you’re starting out. Expect your pay to be lower in the beginning but once you get more experience, you can charge more. You can also find salaried positions, which is what I recommend to aim for when starting out so that you can learn how the industry works and get some experience under your belt before being a freelancer. Hope this was helpful and good luck! ❤

A little fun fact, the sweet themed Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls sadly ended up being unreleased. And that the show ended off with a cliffhanger. It would have been nice for the series to come back for a 4th season given how the later 2 seasons changed the series from it's OG premise that season 1 had and that the animation also changed and to many, improved from it's flaws. And that season 1 aired out of order when it aired on Nickelodeon in the US. Overall, you did a great video.

There was a whole lawsuit about the bratz vs myscene thing and despite not being released until later myscene was in fact proven to be the original concept and thus bratz is the copy (the guy who created bratz actually worked for Mattel around the time myscene was being worked on and had left and went to mga just to steal the concept.)

Bratz did it pretty well, though. The Bratzillas were genuinely gorgeous dolls and if I didn't have MH loyalty at the time (I was violently autistic kid absolutely OBSESSED with MH, it was inevitable I'd take their side) I'd have almost preferred the glass eye look of Bratzillas more.

It's almost insulting that the critics reduced Kuu Kuu HaraJuku girls to simply "cultural appropriation", im a guy and not into Gwen Stefani but i think it's great she took a genuine interest into Japanese fashion and wanted to show it off, at least to me it doesn't come off as pandering, she seemed legitimately passionate about it

I don't know if it is or not, but I'm impressed she hired actual Japanese women and didn't just go for 'Asian' like other artists. I think whether or not it was problematic would depend on how much say those women had, or if Gwen had exclusive control of how they were represented. I can see it going either way, I guess?

It’s the same thing I feel about Flavas, weirdly enough. Yeah, they were corny and reeked of “WE DOES THE HIPPIDY HOP MUZAK” but compared to Barbie’s “one/two/three Black woman limit, and she’s the doll equivalent of perfection.” as a black person I thought they were stupidly charming. *AT LEAST THEY CONSULTED SOMEONE.*

@@impposter560I watched it somewhere that the Harajuku girls were only allowed to talk in Japanese even though, if I remember correctly some of them where born in the USA so I think that’s why some people thought she was treating them like an accessory rather than people. At least through the public eyes. But only the girls themselves would have to speak out on their behalf on how they feel as they were treated and represented.

I'd love a part 2!!! i'm always so amazed about the reasearch that you must go trough for creating these type of videos. Are you a doll collector? Cause this kind of interest can't be from someone who is a casual doll admirer xx

I'M SO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED SCENT STARS! I had the rose scented doll growing up, but as an adult I couldn't remember what the name of the doll line she came from was. I've been searching for the name of the doll line for YEARS! Thank you for finally giving me the answer I've been looking for.

Okay so I turned on this video hoping that “Mystikats” would get mentioned. For years I remember this one advert that I saw as I child describing their powers but never knew what to look up to find more information. Now I can rest knowing it wasn’t just some weird thing I imagined one Saturday morning.

Surprisingly, I knew or saw many of the dolls presented in the video, and I even have some. Flavas are my favorites, I am very glad that I have one. Catwalk Kitties is my unattainable dream so far :"0

I had these fairy dolls with sparkly gel filled wings. They had polly pocket style clothes and came with a horse drawn flower carriage . To this day I can’t find them online or remember what they were called! 😢 I used to love them! Early 2000’s era ❤

Core memory unlocked, I had the purple Trollz doll! My parents bought it for my while at vacation by the seaside. I still remember playing with her headless intercheangable bodies. I also had Scent Stars Lily and to this day I remember her nice smell! I'm also pretty sure I had Yummi-Land one, I remember the bottle, not which doll I got though. I think it was one of the red ones? Thank you so much for this video, it took me back to my childhood ♥

Oh my god this unlocked some memories and validated that i didn’t make all these dolls up! As a kid, the iconic Fanta commercials and the Flava dolls were for some reason inextricably linked in my memories and in how i played with the dolls, but none of my friends knew what tf i was taking about years later when i tried to describe either phenomenon 😂

My main gripe with dolls, no matter which line, is articulation. If it doesn't have at least 9 points of articulation (head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees) I refuse to buy any. One of the things I hated as a kid was not being able to sit my dolls on a chair or pose them and it really grinds my gears what barbie has done with the fashionistas, which is their most diverse and affordable doll line.

I don't even collect and now feel very passionately about the Novi Stars being rebooted. Those doll designs are so cool. I watched this video because the Monster High movies were good enough to get me looking into the dolls and finding an appreciation there. I think considering that those dolls are still doing well, now is definitely the time for an alien doll line.

Pinkie Cooper and Bratzillas were the only discontinued dolls on this list that I actually remember seeing commercials for AND watching their webseries. I preferred Bratzillas cause I was super obsessed with witches at that point in my life. I never did get to have one and was heartbroken when their line was discontinued. I still think there’s a glimmer of potential there, but I do understand why they didn’t stand a chance. When your competition is Monster High, you never could win.

Scent stars are soo cute! Even though their heads might be a little too large for their bodies, the designs are adorable, also, i really like that they move away from this big eyes-no nose - big lips face pattern. This line seems unique and fun, i would love them as a child!

Oh. My. GOD!!!! I was OBSESSED with the Secret Central episodes as a kid!!!!! I found them on Hasbro's website, and frequently checked to see if they'd finally added more episodes yet. I tried to find other people who liked it, but no one I talked to had ever heard about it. I had no idea there were toys associated with it. I've wondered for years what the deal with those random three episodes on a flash game website was, but I never expected to actually get answers. Thank you!!!
