weird question but how did you get a job as a toy illustrator/graphic designer? i’m interested in having a career in those fields. and did the job pay well?
@melonleaf2453 ай бұрын
@@candy-kp8bbnot a weird question at all! I did a four year bachelor of design program at a university but there are lots of options for college and online schooling nowadays! I also recommend networking as much as you can because I get all my clients through word of mouth or through other clients. Finally, the last piece of advice I have is put the type of work you want to be doing in your portfolio so that you can attract the type of clients you want and get paid to do the type of work you want. It’s totally okay to create your own personal projects or mock client projects in your portfolio when you’re starting out. Expect your pay to be lower in the beginning but once you get more experience, you can charge more. You can also find salaried positions, which is what I recommend to aim for when starting out so that you can learn how the industry works and get some experience under your belt before being a freelancer. Hope this was helpful and good luck! ❤

A little fun fact, the sweet themed Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls sadly ended up being unreleased. And that the show ended off with a cliffhanger. It would have been nice for the series to come back for a 4th season given how the later 2 seasons changed the series from it's OG premise that season 1 had and that the animation also changed and to many, improved from it's flaws. And that season 1 aired out of order when it aired on Nickelodeon in the US. Overall, you did a great video.

I don't know if it is or not, but I'm impressed she hired actual Japanese women and didn't just go for 'Asian' like other artists. It’s the same thing I feel about Flavas, weirdly enough. Scent stars are soo cute! Even though their heads might be a little too large for their bodies, the designs are adorable, also, i really like that they move away from this big eyes-no nose - big lips face pattern. This line seems unique and fun, i would love them as a child!

Dang it, I need a Novi Star bad. Sad I had a few dolls on this list but not these days. A flava and a secret central. XD

I miss Trollz for some reason. I always remembered seeing commercials for their cartoon and the dolls but I never bought them, even though I thought they were cool lol.

Oh. My. GOD!!!! I was OBSESSED with the Secret Central episodes as a kid!!!!! I found them on Hasbro's website, and frequently checked to see if they'd finally added more episodes yet. I tried to find other people who liked it, but no one I talked to had ever heard about it. I had no idea there were toys associated with it. I've wondered for years what the deal with those random three episodes on a flash game website was, but I never expected to actually get answers. Thank you!!!
