i'd add there is a big difference between superstitions and the actual practice of magic. magic is a lifetime learning through mentors which practice a wide variety of techniques such as meditation, chants, rituals, spells, divination, etc. superstition is more like rubbing a tree to get a lucky number for hitting the jackpot.

Normally, black magic is banned and forgot by society, because there are too much crimes and murders that black magic is involved. (In the pass, we even has law and court for magic user lol but not anymore). Nowadays, people are more interested in Buddhism relics or holy nature relics (some of those are cost 10millions+ ฿). However, spelled tattoo and receiving monk buff are still popular and ordinary things here.
