Waiting on my seeds to ship and can't wait! I really can't wait to taste some peppers in my mouth! I miss ghost pepper. So tasty but really hot. I hope this is just as good.

Beautiful pod bro. I have been a total failure when it comes to crossing. They keep falling off. This is my first year growing hot peppers. I have fallen in love with it. Fairly easy and care free for the most part. I am growing 4 different kinds. Jalapenos, ghost, reaper and birds eye variety called Prik kee noo. No reaper pods but plenty of buds and flowers. The humidity keeps causing them to drop. I guess I will have to wait till the end of September for the reaper to produce. The birds eye has produced somewhere around 150 peppers so far. Probably going to get at least that many more. Very prolific little pepper. I want to cross it with my jalapenos. Looking forward to watching Ur next episode.

@MrPeezySleezy7 жыл бұрын
So, someone here might know: does the new pepper get the genes of the plant completely, or does each pod have its own genetics? For example, would 2 different peppers on the same plant have different flavor/heat levels? I want to try my first hybrid this year, and I have no idea how to go about it, as far as selection. Any knowledge would help!!

@KhangStarr7 жыл бұрын
To me, it's worth it, I have 3. I love being able to grow all year, and the joy I get out of being able to do this is priceless. If you decide to get one, wait until there is a sale. You can also use a code they gave to our community for extra discount. We don't benefit from this, I'm must passing along savings "PepperLovers20".
@joeviveros32227 жыл бұрын
Khang Starr do you mix your own potting mix in your grow bags? Or do you buy premixed? Can you provide a bit of info on this subject, I apologize in advance if you've already done this.
@KhangStarr7 жыл бұрын
I mix my own, and buy a few cheap bags. The best soil to use is something that's fluffy, loose and soft to prevent it from being too compacted. Organic compost is best as a start. If you can't make your own, use some manure and compost, mix in some perlite for drainage.
@joeviveros32227 жыл бұрын
Thanks mixing soil is a bit difficult, I have failed a few times. I think I'm not getting enough nutrition in my mix or it might be the opposite, not really sure. I'm in Southern California and have access to a lot of things except good compost. the last time I bought cow manure it had shards of glass in it and a bunch of pieces of ripped up plastic. thanks for the info.
