Thanks for the video I have OP3 and I'm considering OA4 and your new insta360 go 3s. My use case is really similar than yours, so very interested which one you pick more:OA4 and Go3s. My clips are really short typically

So which one is better to have? I am starting out and want to make videos of me and partner until we have our own kids. I wanna be able to look back and remember what were like and for our kids to look back on as well.

I think it just depends on what you want to film and the activities that you are into. I prefer the P3 for the better quality and its gimbal but I don't do a lot of action sort of stuff.

For just over 400€ bought Action 4 Adventure pack last week. Same day tried underwater shots, was amazed how good that little thing is. Never had action camera before, super happy with this one.

great video mate! currently got 2 of each of these cameras in my kit, biggest issue i find is with pocket 3 not being water proof, living in the UK makes it difficult to film outside with the kids with pocket 3 because of that. but both of them are cracking bits of kit and highly recommend both of these !

I'll put that on my video list! I'll be honest and tell you I'm not a fan of Iphone photos or video but I'll try to keep an unbiassed approach!

Great video! Thank you. I am looking at these 2 options for similar use case. I have a 2 year old toddler, curious to hear what you feel about pocket 3's durability around an unpredictable toddler 😅

Haha well I don't let her play with it often and when she does get to I'm right next to her. She is getting to the point where she understands she has to be careful with it but that has taken a lot of time playing with her toy cameras and me telling her to treat them with care. I want her to be able to use it eventually but I do fear that she could damage it so I'm still very cautious with it. Other cameras like the Osmo Action 4 or Insta 360 Go3s I have no worry of her playing with them (for the most part) but definitely a little more cautions with the Pocket 3!

What are your thoughts on the pocket 3 vs the GoPro? We’re expecting our first child in a few weeks and I want to make home videos worst part of my GoPro is that the battery dies so quickly

Personally I'd choose the Pocket 3. If you are wanting it for family filming, the pocket 3 is better. Great stable footage, good audio, easy to use and hold. I like gopro but the pocket 3 is the clear winner for me!

Photographer, new videographer and dad here! I've recently started using the OP3 for my family camera because it was such a pain to set up my gimbal and full frame camera when I wanted to film the kids playing. The quality is right there with my bigger camera! The only 2 "complaints" I have with the OP3 is that we're stuck between 15-20mm and the 2-axis stabilization, but the majority of the bounce can be fixed in post.

Agree! They are able to give us a wide lens, I wish they’d give us a tight one as well!

Waiting to see if they put the 1 inch sensor in the action 5. If they do that or put it into a point and shoot body that's the way I'll go. I don't need the gimbal stabilization as much as I want the image quality. Great video.

Thanks for the video! Love the focus of family and capturing memories. Less on cinematic artistic videos. I want to focus on capturing my kid with easy of use to be with them and not so focused about being behind the camera. Haven’t found a good video on capturing family, especially kids with the pocket 3. Would love to see tips and tricks, as well as accessories.

I agree with getting the action 4 combo. Battery on the A4 is not that great and you need at least 3 for one day. Only downside to the battery case is that it does not charge the batteries. It's simply a storage for the batteries... You however can use it to charge other devices like your phone. To me, you need both, the action 4 during the day and pocket 3 at night time.

I know! I wish they had made that feature! Maybe the case would be more bulky if they did that but I think I'd be alright with that!

I have the DJI Pocket 2 and I love it, but of course I have my eye on the 3! Curious... have you considered or tired the new Insta360 X4?

Pocket 2 is still great and still very useable but the 3 just does everything better in all the right ways! I have tried any 360 cams but you’re the second person to ask so maybe I’ll need to try one out!

Just depends what you want it for. I do feel like the P3 is better for vlogging or as a traditional family video camera which is my main use for these types of cameras. My Action 4 comes out at times where I don't want to damage the P3

Yes! You can change the settings so it stays on for longer or it will "sleep" after a certain amount of time

You did great tutorial. Thanks. Anyone please tell me, is this action 4 camera possible to use real estate/ architectural videography and photography? Both interior and exterior needed. Also, will it be possible to image the architectural elements in the houses without distortion?

Thank you! I'd probably use the Pocket 3 over the Action 4 for real estate videos mainly because of the gimbal but I'm sure the Action 4 would still do the job well. I'd recommend filming in the standard or narrow FOV in order to avoid too much warping. I'd also turn on Rock Steady to give you a smoother image

thank you so much. When watching action 4 or pocket 3 shooted 4k videos on wide screens. ( ie 55" or 65" TVs) does it look burley, law quality or noisy like videos created smart phones?

The snowboarding video looks monochrome. Contrast is so high, can’t see any details on the trees. Also the snow looks one dimensional. I guess it’s good when you compare it to other camera of its kind. I just bought mine. Planning to get a gimbal to go with it.

That is what on my mind (also being a daddy to a 8yo son). The pandemic has driven me to this videography world. Like you, i documented as much as i can of my son. Pocket 3 does have limitations and so fragile. I have the pocket 3, but the action 4 is so tempting as well. Im not sure if i can have both, but buying the action 4 will make ne selling off the pocket 3 (which i might totally regret).. uurrggghhhh..! It just tat whenever there's a moment i didnt get my dream shot on op3 or the gimbal fails me, or when i wanna do really crazy manouvers, i do wish i had the action instead. But, sacrifising the 1 inch? Urrrggghhh! Help!
