I'm a V60 guy. I used to do the home espresso thing years ago but as I get older I tend to go for simplicity and repeatability.

Great video, thanks Hashem. You made me rediscover a decent cup of coffee through your channel. Love from Germany!

Oh man Turkish coffee yum. I’m fortunate to have an expresso machine at home, but at work I have a bodum siphon I’ve had for near on 20 years, love the brew it produces.

Nice! Yeah I have one of those too, but only use it if I'm brewing for more than just myself 🙂

Love the video! I have a V60 but tend to go for the French press for laziness!

Thanks! Yeah there's not much involvement!

I’ve just re-activated the French press into service and followed the James Hoffman method. Made some really tasty brew. ☕️ Cheers! 😀

Mocha pot for me - although I'd like to try Turkish. Coffee hasn't been the same for me since I first had a Mocho Pot brew. Also the design is iconic, and looks especially fresh on a gas stove. While the pot itself might cost a little bit, they last forever. I've had mine for over a decade now. Here in Spain you can easily buy replacement filters or seals should those wear out as well. Most houses have two or three of different sizes.

Iconic for sure! It was great when we visited Europe where many airbnbs etc would have at least one in the kitchen somewhere 😁

@@hashemmcadam decent coffee would seem to pretty much be considered a fundamental right in the Mediterranean region. Coming from the UK, this is one of the things I think they definitely got right.

I stick to one huge black coffee a day in my soup mug from the French press. 😅 I also have an XL moka pot that I use occasionally when I want that more concentrated flavour, but I will add a bit more water to it for volume. Both are great. I haven't had a Turkish/Arabic/Bosnian coffee in a few years. It's quite the experience, tho you mostly do need to add a little sweetness to it to make it drinkable. They can be very bitter & I'm not a fan of bitter coffee.

Nice! Yeah my experience growing up having Lebanese variants of that coffee were always super dark-roasted and bitter, having to be balanced with sweetness or spices like cardamom. Recently though, I've discovered that if you grind good fresh beans of a not-so-dark roast and follow the method I linked, you get a very different result!

I use a mocca pot, pour over coffee is too thin for my liking. Sometimes I mix the mocca with the same amount of warm milk (in a French boule).

I use the V60, mostly because the clean up is 30 seconds and I’m lazy. Also once my Aeropress got stuck and then suddenly plunged down and I sprayed my whole kitchen wall with coffee. You are definitely correct that pour over requires more specific variables. I use the hoffmann technique, same grind size, same temp, as similar as possible pour style and while even the brew down timings often match within 5 seconds it’s still not consistent in flavor. But it’s okay, my rule for imperfect coffee is a splash of milk 😂
