Hi Brittany. Great video and tutorial! I agree with 100% of what you’ve said. When I first discovered metal circular needles I also bought a bunch of metal dpns. I hardly ever use them. I, too, prefer the wooden ones for their drag. I like the Dreamz by Knitters Pride too and the Clover as well. Brittany knitting needles also makes some lovely dpns. You should check them out as you share the same name, lol! I was so afraid of dpns for years and once I practiced, I’m so much more at ease with them. I do love Magic Loop too. Thank you for another great video!❤️

I use clover amore crochet hooks so bought aluminum needles thinking id prefer them - uhhhh no. My stitches kept dropping off! I tried clover bamboo & knit pro/picks symphonie (theyre the most resonable priced ones here in New Zealand )& loved them (i hate the symphonie crochet hooks). I got a fab deal on a set of knit picks/pro Caspian interchangeable needle set ($118 NZ $ same as urs just a diff colour) & theyre awesome! Slippy enough yet still grippy enough to stop sliding/dropping stitches. Im just waiting for my symphonie dpn set to arrive (hopefully tomorrow 🤞) & then im going to try knitting my first hat (slightly slouchy beret) in the round from the crown down! Im a bit nervous, but crochet & knitting has turned out to be my secret talent/super weapon! As someone whos not really good at much besides baking/cooking & reading, plus an attention span literally about this long - it was a huge shock to be a natural at something. Who knew?!?!?! Your crochet & knit channels have been a god send & one of my main sources of learning, so a HUGE HUGE thank you ❤

i am actually a fan of the dpns i just find them easier to handle for small circumferences than the magic loop. I always have tension issues with the magic loop as the stitches one needle decrease and pulls on the cord in uncomfortable ways plus my 16 inch circulars cant even do a magic loop cuz the cord is too stiff. So for anything less than 50 ish stitches i will always use a dpn and tbh they look more complicated than they are you just have to get in the mindset of ignoring the needles that you are not currently working a stitch off off
