I have an old pair of my dads Justin’s that are probably 20 years old and are great traditional made boots with leather soles in and out , wood pegs, and just an overall great boot but when it came time to get myself a pair I looked at Justin and was disappointed bc it was nowhere near the level of my dads boots ; so I ended up getting a pair of Tecovas and I am loving them so far

Sad to see Justin not sticking to the traditional way of making boots. Ariat is a brand that intentionally tried to make a sneaker feeling type of boot.

I have had this boot myself. I wore it as a outside boot wearing it daily. I got about a year out of them. I would call them a beginner boot. I didn't replace them.

A year isn't bad for the price but traditional Justin's can last longer thanks to their goodyear welt. But you're right a nice beginner boot for sure

I made the mistake of buying Chinese Justin boots (100% accident; if I had known, I never would have bought them). The soles came apart after 6 months, and the inner liner just came out today, only 1 year after I bought them. They cost $230, and they were worth $2.30.

@camarocarl713024 күн бұрын
Made the mistake of buying these without knowing the POS were made in china. The leather is some fake crap that does not breathe and the soles/heels are 100% rubber. I think they were from Wuhan? Took them back, got some made in Mexico Dan Post. Real leather. good fit and super comfortable. Wish I saw this video before I wasted my time.

This boot seems intended as a daily work boot. Pro tip: the designated “Bay Apache” leather has been in the Justin lineup for at least thirty years.

also being made in vietnam, i didn't find any US made justin's at boot barn. Got the vietnamese ones, not very comfortable and the tread is coming apart after a whole 2 weeks. Justin's suck and are not worth the money. there was a brand HH that was made in US but they were so unimaginably uncomfortable I couldn't possibly work all day in them. Most comfortable boot I ever put on was a china made ariat I think it was, had electrical resistant and composite toe. So the US brands can't make a good western boot...amazing

Steel toe work boots I got square toe lace-up . The soul is way too wide you try to grow up a ladder or something in the one foot is always on top of the extra amount of soul that they put on. If you're going up a ladder you always putting one foot on top of the other White Sox you can't get your foot out under your own foot. P is the right with it's tucked under . Goes to the front and the toes equals to like 2 inches wider than your foot. Wish I would have noticed that . Put mink oil on them getting them ready to wear. That was something that drives me nuts trying not to step on my own toes. 😢
@glennelbey44542 жыл бұрын
Had a pair of Chinese made Justin's somewhat similar to these and even though they fit properly, it wasn't until I started wearing them that it became apparent that they arent finished well on the inside part of the foot. That caused a lot of uncomfortable rubbing and irritation on my feet so I learned my lesson and tossed them. Never again with Chinese made boots.
@vance39732 жыл бұрын
A far as making cheaper boots with removable insoles, Ariat does it best. From the few modern Justins I've tried on they seem worse quality than my Abilenes but are still more expensive and not made in the U.S. I will say that i have tried on their modern made in U.S. boots and those are probably worth the money.

An awesome side effect of traveling is finding some really great locally made goods. I bought a pair of handmade boots from Guatemala that use Italian Imported Leathers(Italian Family), Sapielli Boots are beautiful!! And affordable. I got 2 13EE’s made during my stay in Square and Traditional Toe. It’s kind of a boot mecca, there are boot makers on that street that source to Wolverine, Ariat, Justin, Georgia, and Red Wing, and the air smells like new boots😂 I got a pair of more work style boots on the Chilean/Argentine Border in a German/Swiss Alpine Style town in the Andes, in a square toe cut, plain brown leather. They are my everyday drivers. I got a pair in Protective Toe and traditional, $180 for both. Those were made to my exact foot while I worked on blue prints. Lastly, and strange enough, while living in Norway, on a trip to the Arctic, a Laplander made me a pair of snow boots while there that survived years of Salt and sub-zero temps, that were taken by customs on the way back to USA😂

I hadn't bought a new pair in quite a while and when I recently looked at what Nocona is currently producing, I was saddened and to be honest, disgusted. I've been able to find nice, very slightly worn boots on Ebay and I've been checking out other boot makers. Nocona won't get another dollar from me.

I'm new to wearing cowboy boots here in London UK, and for my first pair, aware of Justin's high reputation, I bought a pair of Justin Ropers, brown, supposedly, but an odd shade of muddy grey, and they fitted me very badly, even after breaking them in. What's more, they seem to be more artificial than leather. My advice from this side of the Pond is not to buy boots made in China, but US-made, or Mexico for a good quality boot. My second pair are Cody James Mad Cat brown medium toe, made in Mexico, which are excellent. Good fit, look great, and wear really well. BTW, you don't seem to review Cody James boots much. Is this because they are exclusive to Shepler's/Boot Barn?
