What I like in these Easy Russian is 1. Every video goes around a theme and specifics words related to this are used frequently like государство, so you can incrementally add them to your personal vocabulary 2. Real dialogues gives more confidence then death artificial sentences in Russian Manuals.

As a Russian learner, you should get used to normal-paced speech. You also have subtitles at your disposal. And if you have any specific questions about meaning or pronunciation, feel free to ask them here. There are a lot of Russian speakers here who can help you.
@rlopez86306 жыл бұрын
allesindwillkommen yes but we will get lots of normal paced speech from everybody she spoke with. From the very beginning of this video, the host seemed to be rushing through her words. Slowing down a little bit, while not necessary, would've been appreciated by those of us that are trying to learn
@allesindwillkommen6 жыл бұрын
R Lopez As I said, if you're trying to learn, the best approach is to ask a lot of questions. Telling native speakers to slow down when they speak is counterproductive, and this will only slow down your progress. Instead, ask them to repeat or rephrase, if possible. In regard to this video, you have subtitles. Read them carefully and try to imitate her fast speech. And you'll improve in no time!
@saraluvcats68916 жыл бұрын
I found it very fast too ! I noticed that older age persons (mostly men) speak clearer than younger generation. 🤔

Sara 2017 She's probably a bit nervous, that's why she's rushing a bit. But her articulation is quite good. She doesn't stutter or slur her words. If you prefer slower speech, there's the "SUPER Easy Russian" series on this channel.

Russian interviewers and people being interviewed act so differently from what I'm used to see as a Brazilian. Not only in Brazil but also in almost all the rest of the world people are used to the American interviewing style. I like the Russian style, though.

I am sorry to say that but this is the worst episode of Easy Russian I´ve seen so far. Not only the girl speaks too fast but also rather unfriendly with people she interviewed (who btw all happen to be very kind and pretty interesting). The way she reacted to the boy´s answer about love to God was really arrogant. I am not religious myself and never been but honestly, I wouldn`t show my aversion to it without the reason (and in front of the camera...).

The intro was SO fast, to the point where I couldn't even read the English subtitles! And this isn't normal-paced speech, because I can see that nobody else speaks this fast. One thing I can suggest is taking a breath between the sentences, especially if you're nervous in front of a camera. That being said, I really appreciate these videos and Vika's time -- these videos are edited well, and Vika is a likeable girl.

I have a few native russian fluent friends that watch this video. They all confirm she's speaking at a break neck speed. The pace and normal speed should be like president Vladimir Putin. She's at least 3-5 x's faster than Putin. Don't know if it's her nervousness or arrogance that plays into this videos. If you listen closely. Each of the interviewers are speaking in a normal pace compare to this chick. Listen to her toward the ending of this video. Exotic smash mouth mumble jumble. Bottom line to all of this. Folks get use to her fast pace talk. You will come across many like her. And if you don't learn how to listen to an fast talker. It's on you. Deal with it and practice listening intuitively.
