NEONTV I love it when God does this. It is called a sacred whisper by some. But He is shouting, "I love you! My unfathomable love for you is why Christ died! No one can pluck you out of my hand. Not even you!" At least that's what He shouted to me when I stayed out of the Church for a few years. Isn't He amazing!!!!! I can't praise Him enough!!!!

At a desperate point in my life I asked God 4 questions. He answered each one, through His word, specifically. My last question was: Why did you make me? His response was: To be the praise of the Glory of His Grace. I've never really grasped this until recently when I started listening to your teachings on the sovereignty and glory of God. It has shifted my focus from myself, in relationship with God, to contemplation of God Himself and His majesty alone. It has been a relief to escape from myself. Thank you.

It’s wonderful to know you can get off the wheel of chasing things that are dead ends. And all you have to do is love on God and try to glorify him in this life.

Incredible! We are created for God's glory. Important Bible verses Pastor John mentioned - Whatever we do, do all for the glory of God. We designed to give to glory to God - 1 Corinthians 10: 31 Isaiah 43 vs 7 - everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made Philippians 1 vs 20 - I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body,whether by life or by death.

The problem with "Us",we liked to be lied to.We are trained from Childhood that life has value, and if your good and follow order we will get to the Golden Mansion. Lies have always been told to help a child grow, but all it does is effect us by adulthood..All my life I wanted to be near God,the only nearness, silence.. Death created time to grow the things it would kill.

I met a guy recently who said he was a Christian. He told me that apart from his eternal destiny he was pretty sure being a Christian meant something, but he wasn't sure what. I thought about that a long time & it seems from an outside perspective to be a lot of guys story. They spend most of their Christian life wishing they owned a Hummer, a nicer house or a time share, as the devil reeps his wicked ways in the lives of everyone around them. And I remember Jesus said the feilds are ripe for the harvest & wondered if He was referring to the guy I met recently? 🤔

Is it possible to mess up God's plan for your life by sinning? Or can God still redeem that and give you a future? I am not saying not having to deal with the consequences of sin, but can God meet you where you are and still make something out of you after you messed up your life?

Can someone help me with this? 😟 God is perfect and moral in every way, so why does the bible say he gets jeleous and angry? Also, this video makes God seem selfish and like he has an ego... "Everything he does, he does for the Glory of himself." If I wanted my friend to be a christian he would think this was bad, I don't know what I would say because I think this is bad too.

Battery Acids if you read the Psalms, you will see that David had all sorts of emotions, including anger, sadness, joy, and awe. My church actually did a series on emotions in the Psalms just recently. Our pastors said that God made us with these emotions on purpose, and ultimately, since we are made in His image, we are reflecting emotions that He Himself has. But there are ways of handling these emotions in a righteous way, the way God intended, and there are ways of handling them sinfully. For example, anger can be used to beat someone up, or to fight against injustice. God can still be good and angry because His anger is righteous anger. He hates sin and upholds justice. His jealousy is also righteous because our number one desire should be for Him because He created us for Himself. Jeremiah and Hosea speak a lot on that. But there is a video you should watch by John Piper called When I Don't Desire God that talks about why God does what He does for His glory. There are five or six parts, I suggest watching them all but the first video says a lot too. I also have trouble understanding this, but you can rest assured that God doing what He does for His glory is a great thing. I hope you get some peace about this and I will be praying for you:)

It is Best to Ask Jesus what the point of your life is..i don't think John Piper knows! The point of our lives is to "Obey Jesus Sayings and Seek Him Everyday for guidance for our lives." As we do this..He brings us our life..He is the Provider. If we do not seek Him..we end up making mistakes. Jesus said to live one day at a time..so it is good to not look to the future too much. We are Here to do"the Fathers Will" and not our own. That is the point of your life.
@liambrown57672 жыл бұрын
I know you wrote this 3y ago but I write this in case someone else is thinking the same thing today. I don't think you are seeing the biggest picture. Your thoughts are too narrow. What Piper is saying is in agreement with you but focus on the word PURPOSE. Why "obey and seek his guidance? Why does He bring us our life? Why is the Provider giving? Why seek him one day at a time? What is the ultimate Father's Will? Answer to all these...we do all these daily things like seek pray praise because its PURPOSE is for God to be GLORIFIED! He is greater and more valuable than all things combined. He gets the Glory. We get the pleasure of His unconditional love. Glory be to God forever!

@@liambrown5767 Jesus Said.. 6:34. “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” It is Jesus who said not to look to the future..not me.
@kathleenwharton21392 жыл бұрын
@@liambrown5767 the trouble with John Pipers teaching is that he teaches his own ideas and the ideas of men. Mark 7:7 Jesus Said..”Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men.” “Jesus Said” are the only doctrines of God. Piper rarely teaches what Jesus Said.
