The screen is to hide the lack of notes

Great stuff, and what an intro! I loved the funky jump and the Bo Burnham style transition. I haven't for years but you may have convinced me to start using a DM's screen again. Also, I'm coveting your throne

The DM screen is obviously a place for me to hide and cry behind when the BBEG dies on one round.

I clicked for the info, stayed for the bits AND I still learned about drama! Quality content mate. Thanks a bunch

The intro to this video is hilarious. Very good editing

I really like your take on D&D as not being as 'boxed-in' as most people play it out to be. The nuance with the social interactions in the game is more important i believe than getting too fixed in on the rules

Exactly! I started without screen, but players found my notes and doings distracting and thus I agreed to went into partial cover again. Mostly still roll in the open though.

I think this is a nice design. I can see me build one of these as a present (I‘m a carpenter) Would I ever buy it? No. Personally I think the TTRPG market is so oversaturated with expensive gimmicks and memorabilia that dont actually add to the experience, that Players and especially DMs often forget, that its about playing a game and not getting onother paperweight in the name of Nerdculture.

It looks cool. I prefer to have a spot on players side to afix maps, notes, NPC pictures and names, etc.

I would love to see an option to put tablet in the front so you can use the front of the screen as a monitor for you players to see, pictures, maps even just atmospheric setting photos.

My DM screen was one I made. On my side it had all the tables that most commonly needed to be referenced during play. On the other side were character names with a little skull drawn over them to represent all the characters I've killed (joking, more tables but ones characters tended to need more often).

Foaminserts for the dice can be trick. I use slightly oversized metal dice. a) They are very loud in a wooden box and ca leave dents so they need some covering material . b) I think it is likely that customers of this DM screen are owning special dice c) most GMs want to store more than one dice set anyway So it would be very helpfull to integrate a storage solution for such Items and not only a foamcore which helds a standard set of dice.

I have one of Frontier Wargaming's painter cases and it is fantastic! I'm sure their GM screen will be equally fantastic, though i hope they allow filled inlay to make any engraving pop!

Love the editing on this one!!!

Hey thanks! The editing was super easy this time, but funily enough, it's because I changed my process a bit and put more effort into scripting.
