Yes followed you good explanation. The test info relays on volume of the return from the bleed off to raise the pressure, but if small amount would just return.

Away from this issuse. The Banjo's along the fuel lines sometimes have a micro filter which catches debris - though i'm sure you'll already know!. We had a New Holland 135 with fuel issues which turned out to be masking tape/paint bunging the Banjo hence starving it. - So if a machine has been painted and fuel starvation becomes an issue- it could be this causing the prob.- Just something to keep in mind.

Great video Ali.just goes to show you can't always trust the fault procedure. .you sometimes have to step back .think how the operation works .then try different options. .sorted. Sometimes someone in the wings looking is very helpful. Yep you do need to try a secure that cable .probably getting kicked about .silly position for it rearly ..👍👍👍 Hope you are all having a great holiday 👍👍

Easy way to check the pressure relief valve is remove the pipe from the valve to the leak off rail, blank off the leak off rail then start the engine if any fuel comes out of the valve, you know the valve is knackered..

Did that first loader have any PRV fault codes or anything? Usually the ECU keeps count of the amount of openings and you have to reset them when changing a valve. Keep in mind that a PRV opening that frequent can also be more of a symptom than an actual cause, then again I'm no Scania specialist but that is what I've experienced on other engines. That second troubleshoot was a nice way of showing how to use the electronics on modern equipment to your advantage. I always take a look at my in and outputs with stuff like this before even getting any tools out. Good work Ali, really enjoy your videos.

There were no stores codes for the PRV I’m now overly familiar with the scania tool but I couldn’t see any actuation counts of the PRV on the Doosan engine software we can see counts and have to reset it when it’s been replaced to clear the fault the bosch relief valve must be replaced after up to 50 actuations as the spring is weakened.

Not a mechanic but had similar with oil boilers when the non return allows fuel to run back to a tank lower than the burner . Same basic principle but vastly different specifics

Good one Ali, every days a school day! I've learnt a lot.🙂 I have to admit, after watching all your videos and when you where explaining how the fuel system should work by the book I was thinking, yeh but what about that relief valve? In our workshop we have a saying about Aston Martin's service manual's - they are vague guidance not gospel, so you check what they tell you in the system, and then check the one bit they don't tell you to check, and normally its the bit they tell you wont be the cause of the problem that is the problem! 😂 Also if an injector was leaking would the machine not be a bit smoky on starting, or produce a bit of black smoke when revving up?

Is the steering issue a quarry above Kendal? Don't know if you wanna name your customers but I will say if it is that site the shovel driver is a very very decent one
