He knows he can't be God so he'll try and beat you. All the crap in life is not from God, it's from Satan. There are a lot of Christians who'll talk about God without mentioning Satan, which is why it sometimes sounds like sugar-coated BS. God isn't your enemy, Satan is. As for the abusive father, it's a person who has allowed Satan to control them, temporarily or permanently. I can't imagine the pain someone feels being abused like that. Must be horrible. +debs cooper Whats the difference between a messianic jew and a christian?
@charliedaisynjinks8 жыл бұрын
Messianic Jews are Jews that believe Jesus is the messiah. He is usually referred to by Jews as Yeshua which is his original Hebrew name. The only difference is that we follow the instructions of the Torah. Not for our salvation, as Yeshua has kinda got that sorted! Haha but we do follow the Torah because Yeshua did and the apostles did all through the new testament. Some people will use certain bible verses to say that what we're doing is wrong, but its' usually out of context or just a little misunderstood really. And on the other side, some messianic Jews think that they are superior to christians because of what they do... That's not true either! Promise! We're all equally saved and redeemed. If you have any questions do ask! I'm really bored on my week off!
@trocfreiburg1318 жыл бұрын
debs cooper i mean i didnt knew about that but all i know is if u dont believe that God came to this world in the flesh in the person of Yeshua died and rose from the dead, and if u dont have the Holy spirit in u, u arent saved. Lena Coogan okey.. i just wanted to give a feedback on how i interpreted your comment! like jeff said: we should all look in our hearth to see if we promoting this pharao culture! Maybe you see the husband, father and friend in man that you "want" but dont see the whole person! A man can be a husband father and friend but he allways wants sex too! That probably the reason why god wants us to have sex in marrige only. So nobody get exploided. But its probably better if you keep distance from a man who only wants sex but explain why you do this! english is not my first language. i hope you understand what i mean :D
@luvs2playtennis8 жыл бұрын
+Lena Coogan it might be that you are afraid of marriage, love and family. With me, I would always attract guys that were already in a relationship. The few guys who weren't already in a relationship I would always run away from. At a certain point, I realized this was because I wanted to know that guys found me attractive but I didn't want the commitment or vulnerability that happened in a relationship. I do eventually want to get married. Something that's helped me is praying to God to help prepare me for my husband and help my husband be prepared for me.

I love how they look and get aroused by the female beauty and that is (also) with their cloths on. I can fancy many women in my bed far more thanthey fancy me of course ;-) I fail to see any harm in that at all. It does not prevent me for treating every person in this world equally kind, mindfull and empathic. Most people have many layers, in which all things together play a part but it varies per person. And one of it is also physical attraction, loving the opposite or same sex just for how they look. Sometimes also for who they are but sometimes not. And at least to me, that is fine. I am not going to deny my personallity cause some dogma tells me so.

Thanks! This was a beautiful, gospel-centered take on this subject that you took in a fresh direction. STRONG AGREE. And sometimes women commodify men as only how much money they make: I think dating culture is broken and women aren't given enough time or ability to build trust with men, so this becomes an unhealthy shortcut to choose a guy but just like exclusively eating fast-food; is not in anyone's best interest. I think the way we've been dating since the 50's should be entirely re-evaluated (since the results have been especially dangerous for women) and bring back match-makers in churches and/or communities. I don't want my dad to choose a guy for me, but neither do I feel safe/confident choosing which strangers to trust without some help getting a background check and setting expectations so we match expectations better at each stage of a building a new connection.

Really love this video Jeff. Men's and women's intrinsic dignity is a beautiful theme in your videos. I like how you show how objectification/dehumanization comes in many forms and happens to both men and women. I love the ending conclusion when you challenges us Christians to create a culture that is influenced by God who values humanity than of the Pharaoh who commodifies others.

I really appreciate that you chose this topic. It's extremely important for men to talk about this and I don't feel enough do. I think you insight into the Bible was really genuine and helpful, not preachy. I am curious to know what you think about our connections to objectifying women and the nature of survival? I know a lot of evil's in the world stem from our brains just trying to find a way to best survive (accumulate food and resources, control the environment to avoid danger, secure a womb to continue on the species, etc.). How much of this do you think is linked to our problems of objectification modern day? I know you have a lot of comments, so I'll just be happy if you at least know that I asked! Have a nice week.

Dating has caused me a lot of pain. It's hard Carrying a conversation with a man . And seeing in their eyes they are plotting. They tell you what they think you want to hear and in their hearts it means something different. I believe people need start viewing each other as humans first . And respect the souls within.

This video deals with this topic perfectly. It's so true that there are flip sides to objectification, and that objectification comes from the place of wanting to gain from other people. You've given me lots to think about, thank you.

Thank you Jeff for continuing to shed light on this issue. I would like to offer some practical advice for any Christian brothers (and sisters) who struggle with this. Turn to Jesus. Turn to Jesus as your rescuer. Turn to Jesus as your redeemer. Turn to Jesus as your reward. He is worth it all.
