27:08 my granddad recently passed at 87 years due to cancer. He fought it for nearly 2 years and had multiple surgeries, but it kept coming back. Near the end before his passing he had a stroke when trying to walk to the bathroom and fell injuring his head and breaking several ribs. We had no choice but to deny surgery since he had not much time left. He was so doped up on pain medication that he wasn’t mentally there with us anymore. He could open his eyes but he could not speak. During his last couple days in hospice before he took his last breath, he started to finally speak and would utter significant moments from his early childhood and early marriage. He talked about going on a cruise and the time they went to Mexico and talking about a pretty young lady he got married to (my grandma). I like to think that he knew we were there with him in his last moments and that he could hear us. It’s amazing how the brain works sometimes. I miss you grandad❤

26:29 it’s sort of like how you described. over a month ago my brother tried killing me with a knife. while it was happening it felt like i was in a dream, it didn’t feel real and i was just hoping it was a bad dream and that i would wake up. when i was bleeding out i accepted that i was possibly going to die and i just remember thinking “im really gonna fucking die right now”. i wasn’t able to cry, i was just having a panic attack and was terrified. it’s hard to think when you’re in shock, all your thoughts feel scrambled but the feeling of impending doom and fear of dying + adrenaline is so intense that you pretty much dissociate. my life didn’t flash before my eyes or anything, didn’t see a light or any of that. was just sitting there waiting for the ambulance to arrive. death is just as scary as you imagine

Personally, I’ve seen an unfortunate amount of extremely close relatives pass in front of me, and it actually made me come to terms with death i’m 24 and it just doesn’t resonate as scary to me. Cause I’ve seen people from ages 8 to 88 pass it really just feels like an essential part of being human regardless of age, and a lot of times it can even signify the end of human suffering. If some sort of demon were to come after me, but I knew before hand that it would just lead to death then I would just accept it and ultimately feel less scared than if I had a demon hunting me for game with no clear goal in mind. I feel like not dying is scarier, like an entity willingly keeping you alive to entrap you in an endless loop of torture and suffering for the sake of pure enjoyment would be more terrifying. Being alive as a human is pretty scary on its own, we live a life without any purposed external purpose of existence and live to watch ourselves and the ones we love slowly die while continuing to develop knowledge of the unknown which is only further distanced with the more knowledge you obtain. Pretty damn scary if you think about it.

It'd be worse if the Skinwalker did everything you feared yourself would do... The bad thing things you subconsciously think of without evil thinking are just idle thoughts. Something you would fear others would do to you. And your image being torn apart through the Skinwalker, making yourself evil being without it being you. Idly watching it tear all the things you cherish without control.
@KenanLaudat-tp3bp19 күн бұрын

@@KenanLaudat-tp3bp they’re both really bad but I think watching it do every thing You’ve dreamt of is worse because there is no guarantee that you will accomplish most or all of what you dreams consist of in your real mind and body but it is almost guaranteed you wouldn’t tarnish your reputation the way a different being would(at least I hope so). The reason why we have dreams like this is because if we accomplish them we get life lasting satisfaction and fulfillment of our purpose. If you’re watching from an outsiders perspective you are completely detached from any feelings or love you would get from these ideal scenarios. It would defeat the whole point of it happening if you didn’t get to experience it. I would be unbearably jealous and would only watch just to see what would’ve been humanly possible for me if I gave existence my all.

I think the most terrifying thing people can imagine is things that are unknown. Take death for instance. While death itself is a universal thing that we all head towards, I believe that the thought of what's after death is more chilling then the idea of death itself, as I think you have the ability to at least acknowledge and come to terms with it happening. But knowing what's after that stopping point is the scariest part. Could it be nothing? Could it be pearly gates? We don't know, and I think the idea of us not knowing things not only makes us upset but also makes us fearful. This also ties into the fear of the dark as the dark itself isn't all that scary, but rather what's in the dark that we can't see is. That's why when we're alone in the dark, nothing could be there but our mind could trick us into thinking there is. We try to fill in gaps to understand what could be there, but most of the time we just end up scarring ourselves. Now when talking about an entity I think the scariest thing we as humans can imagine, in my opinion, is God. God is an all-powerful being that has for the most part unknown motives and does things unbeknownst to us. I think this is a huge reason why god is so scary; because he not only has power over all including life and death, but is a enigmatic figure that we cannot even begin to comprehend. The scariest part about god is that he could be real (and in my opinion is). The idea of a being so powerful that he could create our entire universe, concur death, and basically write a script for all of our lives and how they're going to play out while simultaneously listening and watching us is beyond our comprehension. And I think for that reason, God and The Unknown (No not from DBD) are the scariest things imaginable.

I believe human cruelty is the scariest thing of all, it's not an unproven monster but instead something we know is real and see and hear everyday but only on a small scale but learn about in school from a young age and know how many people have suffered under something that is almost as undeniable as death it's self yet despite our cruelty, we as humans can also have love and compassion for one another that we see people be saved by on the news and also experience every day. It shows that no matter our cruelty, there is also intense love that is what makes humanity so beautiful and how there is something beautiful about being human and that in the face of anything we would never give up our humanity because the beauty of being human is special to us than anything along with the love humans share for each other

I would argue that the scariest monster would have to maintain the same level of intimacy when it comes to fear but also the impossibility of something that is unnatural, something that is evil and unfeeling on a personal level playing on more intimate fears whilst still maintaining a level of non-understanding to take advantage of the fear of the unknown which is why a personification of death is the closest we’ll get

From a biological standpoint, one of the most terrifying things is not knowing the intent of what you’re facing. Uncanny horror taps into a deep, primal part of our minds. Imagine encountering something, and you just know, without a doubt, that it’s not human. There's no need for explanation-your instincts take over. What is it? How is it even possible? Is it alive? Why is it here? What does it want? Does it want to hurt me? Is it trying to deceive me? Is this real, or am I being tricked by my own mind? At the core, our brains are wired to detect threats. The moment you encounter something outside the bounds of what’s familiar, a flood of instinctual questions arise. We’re hardwired to make sense of things that could harm us, but with some threats, there’s no understanding them. They just are, and you can’t outrun them or reason with them. The only option left is to survive-and often that means fighting back. In that moment, your brain assumes the worst. It’s faster, stronger, more dangerous than you, and it has one goal: to either kill you or take something from you. Your body prepares for a fight-or-flight response, but when there’s nowhere to run, you’re left with no choice but to stand your ground, ready to fight for your life.-----Edit ya i know this just screams chatgpt i used it for English correction i hope this does not come off to cringe but gets my point across.

There is no higher authority than death so these people are able to do anything in their physical realm of capability without a halt. Someone suddenly deciding to drive a truck in a random crowd of humans without a clear motive is scarier than someone who premeditated a murder and hid it well.

As someone with Megalophobia, it’s easy to say that if some giant unworldly being came out of the ocean and destroyed the world or if a space being came through our atmosphere, that’s the scariest. The honest answer is whatever is exactly behind you at any given time. That is essentially what void is, you can’t see what’s exactly behind you, and when you turn to look, whatever you were looking at before is now that void.

A black hole is the most terrifying thing imaginable imo. Even if we know earth is getting sucked into it, nothing can be done to prevent. Chaos would break out, life would mean nothing at that point

The reason they put high pitch noises in scary movies is because it replicates a baby's cry.

Without watching the video, the scariest monster I can imagine is a Freddy Krueger type monster that lives in your head, you can’t run from it, you’re forced to constantly fight it.

The scariest monster would just send you in to death but you consciously know your dead and your sole is just floating around

i think the largest part of fear is the unknown part of the thing youre afraid of. the unpredictability or the unknown of something makes things much more horrifying

Your depiction of what the scariest monster could be is quite essentially the movie Smile lol

im not scared of death rn, but i think the fear of death gets worse as you age, cause statistically it gets closer and closer. like yeah you might die today while crossing the road, but objectively speaking if youre between the age of 0-45 you can sit on your couch and “know” you wont die. but as you get older, lets say (if youre healthy) from 65-whenever you die, the chances of you just randomly dying on your couch get larger and larger to the point where you cant not think of death, and you spend each day thinking and knowing it might come at any moment. now thats scary to me. i also dont fw open ocean tho

I think something like necromorphs or the flood would be insanely terrifying in reality they’re quite literally an unstoppable force that desires to consume all and will take over your body and you can’t do anything to stop it, idk if you are still conscious as a necromorph but as someone controlled by the flood you remain conscious as you commit atrocities and destroy everything you know in life, so i would say something like those would be the scariest

Madness/Crazy people are scarier than intelligent beings. Because you can't tell what that creature is thinking.
