Hey Buddy! I loved the subtitles, I think they are helpful for everyone. You pretty much gave a reasonable approach to what to expect during the rainy season in Thailand. All the best and hope to see you early next year.

Hi Josh, this is pretty normal in Thailand. During the end of the monsoon season, from late September to early October, we often experience heavy rain before the dry season starts. However, this kind of rain will occur later in November in the southern part of the country, such as Samui and Phuket.

Great video again, mate. I know this unpredictability from Indonesia where my parents are from. But here in Hamburg Germany it can be quite flaky as well. Two years ago our house got flooded as well. I really hope these floods in CHiang Mai will stop soon. Makes me sad for the people, but also worried about me going there in two weeks.

Love the wet season..My first visit was in the wet season..We used to sit on the beach at night in koh Chang and watch the lightening far out at sea..Although the storms never touched us it was a spectacular memory that I always remember..It’s nearly 30 years ago and don’t know if my geography is correct..I remember someone saying the storms were over Cambodia..I do remember it started raining in Bangkok and in 10 minutes we were wading through knee deep water in the street..It all added to the magical experience ❤

I think it’s a great time to visit. I wouldn’t want permanent rain but it’s rare that’s the case as you say. Some of those storms are so good to see, we rarely get anything like that back in the UK!

Our wet season in northern Nan province is May to September. We have no hesitation is recommending tourists come during it. Over the last five years we can only recall maybe twenty days when the weather made any outdoor tourism impossible. It very rarely rains all day. Conversely we actively discourage tourism during February to April when it is hot, dry and air polluted.

What I really hate about rainy season.. it´s hotter than usual unless you are somewhere in the North. And when you have to walk into a 7/11 or Makro etc. to get some western stuff the difference in temperature feels to huge to handle at times (for me as a european who is sensitive wit AC at least, we don´t really have it in our environment) while you are completely wet walking like into a fridge. Also the first rain can be dangerous and you should wash your hair as soon as possible cause it can make u sick. That said I think the beginning of the rain season is totally fine for travelling but you should definitely avoid the autumn months. Because due to climate change it´s where the most rainfall happens. Maybe I am wrong but this is my observation over the last years that it keeps being dry in the months where it should usually rain already..
@josh.onthemove3 ай бұрын
Good shout and observations re the weather. Who knows what’s happening but it defo seems to come later than earlier. I experienced the exact same with getting wet and then being in AC earlier. It’s crazy how cold you can feel, especially after being accustomed to the heat
