Enough to make a grown man cry! Looks like you saved quite a few of them. Thank you for sharing your garden with us.

Not a huge mistake, you guys are not alone. We all have lessons to learn from mama nature and no matter how much we prepare, she the boss. I’m so envious of your garden, it’s spectacular ! So happy to have subscribed to your channel. Keep up the great work fellas!

It is so annoying when the wind does so much damage to our plants but the good thing is there's always next year to start again. My sunflowers have been battered this week. I like the idea that your garden waste can be taken away then turned into compost for people to have for free. In England we pay an annual fee to have our stuff removed but we also have to pay if we want any of the compost that comes from it.

Ahhhh I bet sunflowers would take a beating. At least you got to enjoy them for as long as you did 💜

Oh, I so sympathise with you there! We have had extremely strong winds in the UK this week and I have had the same problem with plants snapping. All I can say is I have learned a lesson. We are fortunate in that we can rent a 'green bin' where I live, it's for garden waste and is collected weekly. Thanks for showing the mistakes as well as the amazing!

🥰We feel your pain, too. At least we had them pretty for as long as we did. And that’s super great with a green bin! It’s always good when we can compost and recycle on.

We had a really bad storm in June and that's when my dahilas were flatten here in NY. I love them but you do need to stake them and that is a lot of work. Glkad you guys had most of the season

So sorry about your dahlias. They are such beautiful flowers. I fear for my own since we have a big weekend storm coming in! 🌧😨

This happened last year to me, but didn't ruin all of mine. I do use zip ties that are much stronger than string. Staking helps so much & only had 1 branch break, but I had too many dahlias, I should have been cutting. Dahlias I love, but so much work digging up in Fall..... undecided for next year. I give away to many people- I'll leave out bouquets for anyone who wants them. Cheers from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦

We talked about zip ties, too... and now that you vouch for them, might go with them next year for sure. Anything but yarn. And we need to give more away anyway... it was a sign that we weren't sharing enough.

Hello guys, so pitty that gorgeous Beauties are fallen and cracked up so fast. You know, it's only been yesterday i watched your "last" tour and dahlias were just great! Kind of garden's god irony) Anyway, you are the best, guys!!! Cheers

They were looking good … and then (you’re exactly right, irony!) they broke. But oh well - we knew we didn’t stand them properly… and now it’s 100% official 😂. Thanks for watching and for your encouragement 🤩

There's no arguing with Mother Nature. The only silver lining is that it is at the end of the season. Plus your neighbours will benefit from this sad end to your dahlias.

Very true! We have to look at the silver linings all the time in gardening, right? 🥰

Guys loved you garden Chanel all year but I would not worry I have grown dahlias a long time no mater how much you stake them in heavy wind this will happen just cut the loser ones and give them a good feed it amazing how fast they come back and anyway some people use big thick metal posts or worse long bamboo polls that stick out that defeat the purpose of a beautiful garden staking good but there is a thing called to much God Bless good luck with the gardening

Thanks so much for the comment and encouragement. We did exactly as you suggested… so we’re counting on them finishing the season strong. And you’re right, we’ve seen massive stakes and wires in some beds that ruin the look of the flowers. We’ll find a compromise for next year for sure. Greetings from Denmark! 🇩🇰
