The video title is misleading as responses are mostly about the joys of parenting.

I think it's a blessing and a curse the tremendous empathy I gained from having children.

Don't have children, but I do have 5 siblings. The only advice I'll give people that want kids is: don't have more than 3. Kids cost wayyy toooo much and it's not possible to give equal amounts of support to more than 3 kids at a time.

Honestly, I love my kids, I wanted my kids since I was a child, I expect they can be capable of greater things down the line. But they are 3 and 2(and 2 had been diagnosed with autism) and in the age of pushing boundaries and refusing to listen or at least are incapable of understanding consequences of their more destructive actions. My daughter has destroyed some very nice things I have gotten as gifts, and my 2 year old constantly tries to get into daddy’s office space (and had successfully destroyed a $130 piece of equipment ), and my daughter had even recently escaped the apartment and ended up getting police called while my back was turned. With them being active I have to put them in their room to calm down or to get anything done. Oh yeah and my son has a habit of stripping his clothes. And the picky eating. Oh the picky eating. Probably the bane of my current existence. I love them I do, and I’m sure it gets better as they get older but man, the toddler stage is hell for parents. I said what I said. My boyfriend and I have work schedules that make me work at 5am in the morning till 1 and he works 2:30pm till 11:00 so I’m on my own during the active part of the day except for obviously the 2 days we have off.

Loving your children so much and focus on their well-being that you neglect your wife, and one day she just leaves. Post partum depression is very real. Later on, finding out you have failed to keep your child safe from scumbags, pervs and pedos that lurk in society. You feel like such a piece of crap dad but have to remember that you ate not the victim.

Remembering that you're the one that decided to have them and it's your responsibility to care for them, apparently. (I'm the only child-free one of my siblings and I love my sister, really, but for the first two years, she made it my problem nearly every weekend because she would pawn them onto our mother and I was the one caring for mom so it meant I was caring for them

They’re lying. You know they’re lying. This needs to be corrected but they have the attention spans and the memory of a child. Sit and explain while they zone out? Pull their story apart while they scream and accuse? Scream first? Spank? Accept the worst characteristic of a child is imbedded in yours? This doesn’t change as they age up, they just start lying “to protect you” in stead of “to not get you mad”

I’m sorry I thought the video was supposed to be about “the worst thing about having kids?” I guess that people aren’t able to understand instructions 🙄
