What's this 191mph 992 C2S really like?

At just 12 weeks old and with 550 miles on the clock this is our newest Porsche 911 for sale. A full walk around and then we take it out for a drive for an in depth review.
Finished in Gentian Blue with Slate Grey / Crayon 2 tone leather. 8 speed PDK gearbox, Sport Chrono Plus, electric sunroof, BOSE sound system, adaptive cruise control and more. UK main dealer supplied new and with full Porsche manufacturer warranty until September 2026.
444bhp, 191mph, 0-62mph around 3.3 seconds.

For me one of the top amazing best caracteristics when I drive back a few times per month my 992 is the steering feel for me it is perfect we’ll weighted more dead point, you can exactly feel what the wheel are doing and that is not only when speeding at any kind of speed it ‘s top nutch.

It would eat up the miles without feeling overly heavy and remote. When you get there happy to enjoy more driver focused local roads as well.

I really enjoyed this video and think you have a really watchable presenting style. Your insight and knowledge kept me fully interested all the way through . Please try not to react to any negative comments because those pillocks love nothing more than arguing, claiming to be experts while being as close to owning one as I am ! The 36 22 38, all good with the nod to the original 930 but saying that its grown fat wider everywhere seems like 36 34 38, The old 930 truley looks so dinky at 36 15 38 ,with a much nicer back end and street presence like no other ,and both 993 and 997 still a good size

The last 930 was made nearly 35 years ago and time has moved on. I think you have to judge the 992 based on its present day peers. Compare a Mini or today against a Mini from the 1980's and they're different. The 992 does have a waist just in front of the rear arches which gives it a pleasing figure. Will the 992 prove to be a classic in the same way a 993 or even a 997 might be considered? Who knows, time will tell.

Corrections for you. Porsche Turbo and Turbo S are 3.7 litre. Carrera and Carrera S 3 litre (twin turbo), GT3 4 litre (non turbo).

As was apparent in this video review, its quite hard to get excited about the 922 compared to to it’s forebears. I think Porsche lost their way a touch after the 991.

Are you possibly being a bit harsh? If you want to treat yourself and reward hard work then as an every day car I don't think the 992 is a bad effort. I have a 991 because I'm just a simple country boy but if the 2 cars were the same price I'd take the 992 on the basis its brand new.

@@911virgin8 No I don't think so, I think time will show that the 991 is the preferred car of the two. Each to their own, but I wouldn't choose a 992 over a 991 in pretty much any flavour. Maybe the jarring aspects of the 992 will improve with the .2 version, but we'll have to wait and see about that.

I'm certain it's a great car but for I've no interest in anything after the 997..to big and full of tech just like everything else. Shame. I wonder what the demographic is for the 992 Carrera.

Someone who wants a brand new or nearly new Porsche 911 and to that end I think it's a good car. Someone wanting a particular Porsche 911 experience may look elsewhere, be that a GT car, in which case restricted supply / large premiums at the moment may mean non 992. Then there are people who prefer an older car either because of the specific characteristics or because budget dictates they have to. I personally don't need all the electronics and I'm happy to live with an older car but it would be nice to get into something that fresh every day if the money side of things didn't bother you.

I mean are they Porsche enthusiasts or simply an "Audi guy" that got a promotion at work and walks across the road to the Porsche OPC for an upgrade to the driveway? I have a manual 996 Turbo and I can't imagine one of these getting me excited in the way that does , I mean you can feel everything the car's doing with lots of feedback from all departments ..in the "progress and improvement" over the previous model I think something important has been lost , they've also gotten massive too.

Yes, I agree that will some of the demogaphic but hasn't that always been the case? With the 992 I don't think there's any risk of upsetting or surprising new arrivals to the marque in the same way say a 3.2 Carrera will have done back in the day. By the same token as a seasoned Porsche owner it didn't feel like a Volvo. 15 - 18 years ago I remember we were selling a V6 Cayenne and it was very disappointing compared to the 4.5 V8 S. It could have been built by anyone and wasn't special. The S was a totally different car. This 992 is still very much a Porsche 911, it isn't an Audi or a VW@@stephenauty2402

You should be on something like 8 out of 10 cats where your command of the English language and it's various nuances (you can tell us how that should be pronounced) would be admired on a worldwide stage. There are no doubt some people who advocate the clinical, sterile approach to responding on KZbin but I'm a bit more human. It's a video on a 12 week old 191mph Porsche 911 Carrera 2 S made by a used car dealer in his spare time. I don't profess to be a TV presenter, a linguistic scholar or indeed even a Porsche guru. Every day is as you say a school day but don't nit pick on the pronunciation of a single word in an unscripted car video made by an idiot. There is so much more to discover and enjoy in this great world we live in.

We sell cars for a living, we don't make videos. The videos are made as a hobby by me. We don't spend any money bringing in third party production, marketing and so on. Ultimately I'm more than happy to take any subsequent publicity for the 911virgin business but I won't sell my individual character and right to reply to any comments to further that promotion. If it costs me business then so be it but I'm going to take a punt and say that questioning homage pronounced fromage won't stop people from buying off us or selling to / through us. If cheese is your thing then I'm working through a rather lovely Chaource produced just south of Troyes in France which has a delightful citadel hotel where we stayed a number of years ago when en route to Portugal in a 3.2 Carrera coupe. @@resnonverba137

The most unenthusiastic review of a 992 I’ve ever seen-but that’s ok. I think everyone has their own benchmark for the 911, based on first-love and prior experiences. My 992 will be my first 911, and I’m glad I’ve never driven prior models to compare it with; if the 993 was the “best ever 911,” then there’s no reason for the 992. I do think this version of the car is stunning to behold. I’d it turns out to be dull And the thrill has been engineered out of the 911, then… we’re doomed.

I don't want to come over as too gushy or over enthusiastic and I've been around a bit too long to be bowled over by bright lights and shiny trinkets. Ultimately Porsche want to build a mass appeal car and in that respect the 992 is bang on the money. Some viewers of these videos are seeking out a more niche market experience and for them an older car may tick the box. Ultimately the Porsche 911 is my Ford Escort. I have no doubt you will enjoy your 992 and seen in the context of 2024 new cars it's excellent.
