Lin Chee Kang means Lotus Seed Dessert. Originated from the Chinese communities. A dessert drink to cool down body temperature... The Malay calls it Lai Chi Kang.. Malay version has all the jellies, plums & some basil seeds. Of course it is not originally chinese recipe anymore... hehe

let me give you a tip to enjoy Tomyum. Eat the tom yum with white rice, sambal belacan and telur dadar as a combo. Do not mix it all together in whole plate but mix it spoon by spoon. I notice many foreigners either eat everything mixed all at once (pour everything into plate and mix) which takes away the taste OR eat every dish separately., both these styles are not wrong but will not give the optimum results. Instead, may I suggest that you Try mix it spoon by spoon, then you can taste everything better😊👍 selamat mencuba

Your commitment to learning Bahasa is admirable. Even some Chinese who've lived here for years are not as committed in speaking bahasa as you as it's said that bahasa is not a superior language. Syabas! Orang Jepun boleh!!! Btw please ask for 'kurang pedas'or 'tak nak pedas' when ordering tom yam and other spicy dishes so that you don't have to suffer so much. Best of luck!

Glad to see you guys enjoying Malaysia. Anyway, Malaysians don't really use "God" to describe something delicious. For Malays and Muslims, "God" is "Tuhan", or the Almighty Creator that we worship and pray to, so that kind of comparison would be disrespectful. However, there is the word "Dewa", which means someone more than human. If you say "sedap tahap dewa", it means, "deva level deliciousness". Or, you could say, "sedap gila", meaning "crazy delicious". Have fun!

Baan26 in changkat road has very good tomyum but expensive. If you go to border states to thailand like kelantan or perlis you can get the same flavour but much cheaper.

It called Lai Chi Kang. 😊 They are 2 types of Lai Chi Kang, cold (put ice, usually Lai Chi Kang is served with ice) & other one warm (this one you have to request don't put ice)

laicikang should ve lychee in it cool sweet drink w various stuff under water - black one grass jelly this is the real ingredients the one you try seem dont have much White sugar (gula putih) Palm sugar (gula merah) Barley pearl (barli) - rinse White fungus (fungus putih) - soak till soften Black fungus (fungus hitam) - soak till soften Dried lotus seed (biji teratai) - rinse Dried red dates (kurma merah) - rinse Dried longan pulp (longan) - rinse Canned lychees (laici) - drain the syrup Grass jelly (cincau) - finely chop Honey dates (kembang semangkuk) - soaked 24 hours till soften and swollen Sweet melon candy (kundur) - diced Sufficient water
