What's Training in the British Army really like | DEMO
Infantry courses were focused on core infantry skills, but the various demands on infantry battalions meant that soldiers were not necessarily well practiced in these at all times. Consequently, battalions sought to address this gap by conducting their own in house refresher training. Over time, however, it became evident that the level of performance on both courses was unpredictable and varied between the battalions.
In 1996 this resulted in the Household Division and Parachute Regiment pooling resources to create the first centralised team to deliver this training, known as Household Division & Parachute Regiment Centralised Courses, known as (HDPRCC).

Do you ever go anywhere near any real hills like catterick or Brecon?

used to be adverture training in brecon but thats cancelled due to covid

infantry are trained at Catterick and there's the leadership courses at Brecon to go around those hills for roles that require it. Fabziy is stationed at Pirbright though (last I checked on his channel). Plus as someone above said, all arms go on Adventure Training to Brecon usually and go caving or mountain biking or something.

@@jesseblack5812 Before Catterick , Pirbright was the Guards Depot. Only Guards and junior Paras trained there. And believe me the hills round there are legendary. It doesnt matter where you start. You put the effort in pal and you can smash it. :)

Respect from 🇮🇪. Our nations had a very bad start but at least the Irish army and the British army are training together and serving overseas together in places like Mali and previously in Kosvo, Bosnia, afghan and other countries

Whilst in cadets I was at the first Gurkha’s base I don’t remember it’s name but it was by the ocean, had a go of there obstacle coarse’s, couldn’t do some since we were like 13 or 14 but bugger me they are built to build

In my day on tabs & assault courses,we had to carry webbing,rifle,burgen, locker,top locker,bed,94,81 mm mortar,gpmg,10 days rations wearing mesh tins with no laces!

Reeceys245 you have your county regiments depending where you live in the U.K., then there's the Guards division if you want to stand outside B palace and other locations, you have the Paras our airborne capability, training is the same for everyone apart from the Paras where you will have to do P company. Best option is to go online.

Try not to be shy, instead show leadership. If someone is really struggling help them if possible, not on something like this assault course tho. Your CPL will always be watching you rerember that. When you do your overnights in the woods keep ALL your kit within 1 foot away from you. CPL's always go round at night and if it's not in your reaching distance they will nick it. (If you have some sort of small bag helmet and toy gun of any sorts start sleeping with it now. Sounds weird but you will get into a habit of checking if it's all there at night. Best of luck bro!!

Neither mate, it's HDPRCC (explained in the description). It's a course for guardsmen and para reg privates. Phase 1 recruits don't do this assault course.

Alots change since I was in Pirbright. I live in deepcut now and I try to hit concrete hill twice a month. When the gates are unlocked lol. Back then we were on edge. Para instructors were brutal back then. All good and fun in the end. Great vids
