Debs says: I love every video and have watched them over and over. I never want you to feel any pressure to put out a vlog. It is a treasure to me to see the Spring flowers and to hear you two laughing and talking on your walks. There is a lot of pain in the world. My only child is dying of cancer at 39 years old, so your videos soothe and encourage me to keep going. So I will keep you in my prayers. Thank you so much. Love You.

Thanks for who you both are. Rich, why some of us must have depression beats me, while our clever brains retain many memories while we learn life & for safety, it throws up some junk we’d prefer to leave alone. Most ‘creatives’ tend to have this dilemma. Painting & arts in general, is a way of overcoming & expressing ‘stuff’. When depression comes, our motivation is lost-I’m glad Fran understands how to give your brain time to reinvigorate itself. Love to you both.

Hi Rich. What a totally courageous explanation of a very very challenging life circumstance. You are not alone … but your way of clearly and openly and humbly describing your reality is heartwarming. There is no easy solution to the complex forms of depression. However humble recognition is a powerful step. There is a comforting saying my wife Janet and I review here in our Mexico home, it says … “Keep your face toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you” (Walt Whitman) So get off the boat … or into the front or back when there is sunshine … and if there is no sunshine come to sunny Mexico where the sun always shines and the people always smile!!!! Janet and I do that when the cold dark Canadian winters block the sun 😂 we send warm hugs and best wishes from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Depression is an awful thing. It just creeps up you like you said just like a dark cloud envelopes you. My way of dealing with it was drinking. Thankfully I've curtailed the drinking down to where I'm happy just having a social couple of pints after one of my walks. Walking is something I took up seriously nearly a year ago and I'm absolutely loving it. Yes sometimes I'm lying in bed thinking I'm really not feeling it, but I force myself out and I'm always glad I do. The fresh air and the thrill of the adventure keeps me going. So glad you and Fran do the vlogs. I really enjoy them, especially when you're close to my area in Shrewsbury
