Shakey's pizza represent! I had a lot of bday parties there. I had to be dragged out of there from a one quarter game of Super Off Road that would never end. I loved picking the dune buggy in the arcade version.

Two of my favorite KZbinrs! Nice interview! I love gaming conventions! Especially ones where you can play lots of games for free (after you pay for your con ticket). Well, I love them in small doses. I usually get in there on the first day or last day for a one day ticket when the crowds aren't as big. I'm autistic, so big loud crowds are not for me. There used to be a great one here in Vegas called Retro Gaming Expo. I loved it! I volunteer to help with some of the conventions in town now that I've been to a few years of several of them, but the ones that have gotten really big, I just volunteer to set up and tear down. I don't go to the shows themselves because they are too crowded and noisy now. I'm glad they are successful, but they aren't for me as an attendee anymore. Robotron is a great game for sure! Like a lot of Williams Electronics games, it's a great one that was ahead of its time and is timeless as it still looks great and is quite challenging today. That is sort of related to my favorite game of all time: Defender for the Atari 2600. I struggled with playing the original version in arcades because I didn't handle the rather complex control scheme on that cabinet very well. But when I got it for my VCS/2600, I found that it was much easier for me. I also like how this version has buildings instead of mountains so the humanoids are in their city rather than stranded in the wilderness or something. The best part is hiding behind the buildings. It was designed so that you could use the action button for both firing the laser and droppping the smartbombs, but I used it more for hiding from the enemies since I discovered that they couldn't hit me when I was behind the buildings. Then, I pop up and snipe the landers just as they are picking up a humanoid. Very satisfying to pull that trick off even today. Wow! A real OG! This was great to listen to. Brings back a lot of memories. One of the many great things about classic gaming collecting is how we can share stories and memories that we can all relate to in some way. Thanks, guys for doing this.

This brings back memories as I used to bring chicks for pizza in the 80's as it was cheap as chips!
