One of Graham’s videos inspired me to start my own channel in 2019. I’ve uploaded 140 videos & have 30k subs & he’s right. You can listen to all of the KZbin advice in the world but actually doing the work is the best way to learn. Thank you Graham!

Listening to guys like Graham make you realize that KZbin and content is really an art, and you have to be obsessed about it to be one of these guys at the top of the game.

Here's the real. Most people aren't gonna get 73M views a month even across 2 or 3 channels. If you wanna succeed on KZbin, figure out a business model that you can wrap around your content and target that audience. Even if you genuinely enjoy making videos (which you should if you are a creator) you have to be able to make money to make content creation sustainable. If you go viral but you still struggle to pay your bills, you're doing something wrong. This is advice that I wish I knew when I first started on KZbin.

I think personally if you don’t hustle, and you have under 10,000 subscribers, your chances in this current KZbin environment are severely diminished. No one wants to burn out, but with all of the competition, I think you have to hustle. I could be wrong, but my growth has been slow, but it’s been fairly steady, because I’m hustling. Yes, I’m trying to employ all of the other factors as well, better thumbnails, better titles, and better editing, which I still suck at. But hustling has helped me improve all of the above. Let’s get it!
@SecondMileJourney7 ай бұрын
You know what I’ve noticed as a viewer? When it comes to channels that often change their titles and thumbnails, I stop watching their videos. I don’t mean to. But I realized recently that i subconsciously pull back from clicking on certain channels videos because they’ve taught me through recent clicks that “oh, I already watched this video. They must’ve changed the thumbnail or title.” So after a few times of clicking on their videos just to find I’ve already seen it, it has programmed me to stop clicking on their videos.
@s.h.68586 ай бұрын
Ditto. Also the people that seem to re-upload often.
@cybermavenmusic8 ай бұрын
Old school mindset. It’s NOT numbers, it’s QUALITY. I’d rather have 100 truly invested engagements over 1 million clicks. It’s not always about the money.
@AC-Ninja8 ай бұрын
💯.... It can't be all about the $ at least not at first. That's why I see people with 10 million views on a short that's just recycled content they stole from someone else and all these subscribers but they're long form videos and the rest of their shorts have no views they're so desperate because they thought this would be a quick way for them to get monetized and start making some money but you built no solid foundation and no ability to grow and the content you stole is so unrelated to your channel I guess people want to learn the hard way which sometimes might be the best way to learn

100% - I have no idea who that Ice Coffee Hour guy is and will never even look at his chanel due to his attitude. Great that he has created what he says, and I am sure is, a very successful KZbin income, but he is the least authentic person ever. Selfish, only chases numbers, definitely not willing to give advice other than "make 20 videos". I get he doesn't have to feel obliged to coach. But what is he actually passionate about? Didn't watch to the end as I just can't stand him.
@Mr_Magpie_5 ай бұрын
@@BombshellTans-yh7rtI’m literally 17 mins in so I can’t say anything about the rest of your comment. The 20 videos thing is so true though, people need to do some work for themselves first. I do it myself with this exact thing I’ve asked best way to do it and still have not done it. So it shows it just wastes peoples time because your not even taking there advice seriously, if you have already started he will at least think you are going to use the information he is about to give. He hasn’t got the time to waste 😂

This is great advice from Graham. I also spend time perfecting my scripts on the ones that will likely provide the best return on reviews. With first drafts and rewrites, some scripts take 4 to 6 hours to complete just the script for a 10 to 15 minute video. And capture and edit and B roll with graphics about 4 hours. He is right, when a person is at 20 videos in, a person is committed to doing KZbin and wants to do it regularly.

So for my main channel I released a total of 275 videos and have 880 subs. I got frustrated and have pretty much stopped doing videos. I have a second channel I need to do more content for but feel once it finds it's feet it will be a much bigger channel. The issue I have with this primary channel is I catered to such a small niche of people. I have focused on the equipment but need to work on my presentation a little more. I am not a script writer or reader by any stretch of the imagination and kind of feel I am a little dry in my presentation. I've got a long way to go but hopefully one day I'll get there :).

I think people might rely on shorts too much if their goal is to get long form content viewers I have a very small Channel that's super in it's life (5 months or so) and I already realized pretty quickly that the best way for ME to use shorts is to clip my long-form content and funnel viewers to my long form from the SHORTS Related Video feature, when I do that the difference compared to when I don't do that and my numbers is pretty glaring I had three shorts today I posted for a long form I had up for a couple days and the jump and subscribers just today was noticeable once I posted those shorts and my long form click-through rate has been as good as anyone I've done yet
