If you watched further into the video, as the phantom thieves do more good, the messages change. In the beginning they're all wtf are these guys trying to do? but further on, you start seeing the students start idolising the phantom theives. I think that's awesome how you can see the popularity of the thieves rise, and then okumura's incident happens and they're hated again.

The public are fair-weather friends of the Phantom Thieves. When the Phantom Thieves starting out and there's no proof they're anything more than a prank, they're naturally dismissive of the Thieves. When The Phantom Thieves take down some big targets, the public takes notice. But after Okumura dies and the Phantom Thieves are at fault, people drop them like a hot rock, and only really come back when Yaldabaoth threatens to destroy the world. All in all, the Shujin blackboard artists are fairly fickle, a bit like the Phan-Site posters.

I think people are still skeptical at that point and think The Phantom Thieves are making a false claim about Kamoshida's change of heart which they believe happened by itself, not by The Phantom Thieves. That's why they wrote Chuunibyou (A Japanese slang term which roughly translates to "Middle School 2nd Year Syndrome". People with chuunibyou act like a know-it-all adult and believe they have special powers unlike others.) on the board.

Thank you so much for translating! The katakana is fairly easy to make out (mostly insults or SFX lol). The kanji you kinda have to squint to read it. Have you tried translating Leblanc's menu? It's pretty blurry but I think I can see "iced coffee" and "coffee float" or something in katakana. The blue sign clearly says "Leblanc Curry Special - 800 yen". Man, the Protagonist's idle animations never get old.

You're welcome! Yes some of the kanjis are a bit hard to read and took a little time to figure it out. I've never really tried to read the Leblanc's menu but yes it is pretty blurry (just checked a video) except ルブラン特製カレー. There is a word that looks like チーズケーキ (cheese cake) though.
