Gave this a second listen in hopes I'd discover something I missed the first time. It contains some interesting literary analysis, but I can't help but feel this talk exemplifies the worst instincts of theory. So busy gazing at its navel that it forgot to say anything meaningful. Linguistic games played for their own sake and little more. Perhaps my opinion would be different if I were an academic.

Frankly speaking, it's absolutely unclear from this presentation what's wrong with extinction and if anything is wrong with extinction at all.
