Nothing is wrong with Taramps. They get hate when people try to run them on shitty electrial or mount them to a box with no rubber feet to isloate the vibration so then the windings get messed up inside then "poof". I run a Smart 3 on the subs and their DS/440 on the mids & highs. My amp prior was a chinese clone of a Smart 3 from a reputable company, cough cough, "sunclowns". That amp only lasted just a month passed the warranty period while my Taramps are going almost 2 years strong. The best thing abount the regular Smart 3 is that they do rated power at 12.6V while the Smart "BASS" series require 14.4V. You should test this again at 12.6-14V, I am interested to see the results.
@BassDad15 күн бұрын
@@Angel_xXx_76 it’s hard to test at that voltage at least for me the way I have my test bench set up. I run at around 15.5 cause I’m using scib cells. I used to use lifepo4 which made it easier to test at those lower voltages but when bigger amps get in there the lifepo4 just can’t hang. Also no matter what voltage I test at someone always asks for the lower or higher test, lol. I’d almost need to have two setups. One for smaller amps and one for bigger amps. If my channel gets more popular I may definitely do that. No matter what though I definitely think Taramps is a great budget choice. I try not to get too caught up in brands I think usually different amps are just for different applications. There is a lot of good stuff out there from almost every company in 2024 we are really lucky cause when I was a teenager it was either the main name brands or the flea market/ pawn shop type stuff. Thanks for watching!

Taramps are pretty reliable but I have never had a 1200 watt version though. I do not know anything about b2 except for that the people who started it aren’t the people running it now. If you are worried about sound I’d get a DSP. I think you probably wouldn’t notice too much of a difference. But it also depends on your subs and enclosure.
