For me it will always be the 1st kdrama I watch.. Descendants of the sun. Intelligent and humorous male protagonist who knew how to do his job, who knew exactly what true patriotism was, always took responsibility all always had a humorous outlook in every situation in short an ideal man who Knew when to put the work in front and when to put relationship at front. A very strong female protagonist who was the best at her job who didn't try to look forcefully Cluelessly cute, was calculative before taking any decision.was not only thinking from her heart but also with her mind. This show had very good second lead couple who were equally strong. Best plotline, engaging and entertaining. Ppl need to recognize it..

Twenty-Five Twenty-One is my all-time favourite. An incredible, masterfully written drama. My Mister as well. Flower of Evil is also good, and Mother (2018) is a really underrated one. I also recommend Stranger.

@@ashleyt5362 it is about family, work, life’s ups and downs, ethics and doing the right thing. There is a bit of romance in it, but not the usual. The ML lead is brilliant, and IU does an excellent job. It’s slow to build, but keep with it, you end up getting to know each and every one of the characters Hope you enjoy it as much I did, and many others. It is listed quite often as a must watch 😊

Record of Youth was cute but I wanted a more satisfying wrap up for it, like confirmation that they DID get back together. I've just recently got into K-dramas though and I AM OBSESSED.

I'm so glad someone said Alchemy of Souls! I might be biased because it was my very first K-drama, and I'm a sucker for fantasy, but it was soooooo good! All of the characters were amazing, the side characters were just as fleshed out as the main characters, the world was so interesting and unique. I've watched a ton of k-dramas since, and have yet to find one like it. It made some challenging choices, story-wise, too, and pulled them off. I'm sure most of the audience was skeptical going into S2, but they hit it out of the park. Just an excellent drama.

When they changed back to the actress who played the true naksu they ruined it for me. Firstly it didn't make sense as they'd burned her body and secondly they completely changed her personality along with her body. That also didn't make sense as she's supposed to be the same soul so she should have the same personality. However instead of being feisty, brave & also shy, she was overly romantic

They are such a beautiful couple, and the fact that I might have seen a real feelings between them on the set (since they are married now), it makes the drama even more special. 😍😍 My 2nd favourite would be: Mr. Queen. It was funny, hilarious to watch. It made me laugh soooo many times. Such an amazing acting from the main actress. 10/10.

K-drama is so rich, I really love it. My favourite is My Mister, it was a masterpiece in acting and environment choice overall. But I can watch Reply 1988 over and over and over again.. I can cry every episode as a 34 year old fierce looking man. I also would love to lose all my memory about Empress Ki, It's OK not to be OK and all Studio Dragon series and watch them again.

Signal was an absolute masterpiece of a K-drama I have ever watched. It has everything in it. From thrilling and heart breaking storylines to amazing cinematography and a nice soundtrack. Every actor is perfect in their roles. And also this drama made me realize how good of an actor Lee Je hoon is. Another one that comes into my mind is Healer. Always was a fan of Ji Chang Wook and I have yet to see a bad piece of work from him. It's gripping, romantic, funny and emotional.

My favorite is Kill Me Heal Me, great story and the actors were fantastic. The male lead had to portray 7 characters and did a brilliant job. I laughed so much, but was able to appreciate the serious parts of the story as well. Its a must see.

Hotel Del Luna, 10/10 for me. Well written story with many subplots. So many talented actors/actresses and amazing sound track with IU, Taeyeon, Red Velvet, etc... Filmed so well, a kdrama masterpiece. And if you like scary then Kingdom, another terrific story.

I was prepared to comment " Sad no one mentioned 'My Mister' " then that one girl comes up and says it - LETS GOOO! So glad there are people who appreciate this gem of a drama 😭It really cut too deep & no other drama ever came close enough. Sharing my top 5 dramas - 1. My Mister - IU nailed this character so hard godamn it hurt to watch sometimes, I still replay the ep 15 scene at times. 2. Reply 1988 - I think many people will agree that this drama really cast some magic, it had you remembering your good old days - the nostalgia factor and just how well it was depicted. Even though all the reply dramas revolve around "who is the end game couple?" idea, 1988 really put forward the side stories on the front and made the characters so relatable anyone from a small kid to an old couple could relate to its characters. It was just soooo good, it was hard to get over it when I finished it. I remember just staring at the end credits with the theme playing in the back. 3. Live - This is a little less known and again a different kind of drama. I remember I watched it just because it came up on my Netflix screens and it had kwangsoo in it 🤣 Never thought I would love the storyline that much, Truly underrated drama, I hope more people give it a shot. 4. Be melodramatic - One of the most well done dramas in terms of characters, storyline & direction. The cast truly did justice to the characters. It was just like its name - Melodramatic, tackled everything from funny romcom moments to some heavy-heavy scenes. And it did so with so much purity and rawness, I remember crying so hard at the "Hug me" scene. 5. I have a few that take this place: Our beloved summer - Best characters in a drama, ever. I have hardly ever come across a drama where I have not hated a single character - not even the second leads or the antagonists. Great characters, good story, good pacing & some damn good osts. Loved this drama so much, even though the story was not the most extraordinary the magic lies in how this drama executed it. 2521 - I have not rooted for a couple more than this one - it was the most perfect pure love story and they deserved each other. But again it did what it was supposed to do. No compains but it was just so good that I could not get over the fact that the climax crushed my hearts to bits & pieces. I couldn't watch any drama for a couple of months, heck after this drama I really lost my apetite for romance dramas. Fight for my way - Nostalgia factor, I watched this way back when I had just gotten into kdramas and really could relate to how the main characters were struggling in life but they still found a way to support each other and succeed eventually. Made you yearn for something similar. What's wrong with Secretary Kim - the only reason I ever got into kdramas. I remember seeing its teaser somewhere on KZbin - Park Minyoung in a red dress running around with a bouquet of flower and sneezing continuously. My god I couldn't believe how pretty she was xD legit ethereal - her smile is insanely pretty. After that I just wanted to see more of her so I looked it up and here we are lol. Nonetheless, it was a really well done romcom drama and the chemistry was off the damn charts.

The thing with K-dramas is there are so many good ones your favorite will change rapidly overtime. My first one ever was Start-up which is I rewatched a few times bcs I loved it so much. I felt heartbroken after Hometown chachavha, 25-21, Its Okay not to be Okay. Stranger had me sitting on the edge of my seat. Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo made me cry and laugh for all good reasons. One thing that stands out for me in Kdrama is the humanity in the stories. The connections ppl have with each other in not just a superficial 'oh you are hot love at first sight' type but also with everyone around them. The teachers, the parents their friends, complete strangers.. which makes you want to look out for ppl and really make the best out of life.

Vagabond is hands down one of my most favorite kdramas. It’s not romantic, but the acting is absolutely astounding. Love the plot of a corrupt government trying to hide secrets with a righteous, honorable man who tries to seek justice. There is some romance in there ofc. Another really good recent one that I can’t finish because I cry in every episode is hi bye mama. That drama is too sad, it makes me depressed lol. But it’s soooo good.

I'm glad I came cross your video bcz I have so many favorites Kdramas that it's hard to really depict what's my favorite but if I should just one I'll say "True Beauty" bcz it elaborate the standards of beauty in society and the depression that high class children face especially coming from a family of integrity and hospitality. It also shows friendship, romance, childhood memories. This drama is like a roller coster that in some point it helps you to be more confident in your skin rather trying to please others that is suffering from self love, depression and lack of parental support. I definitely can say that all three characters played their roles magnificently that I even wish Han Seo-Jun would have had a girlfriend but overall a very captivating drama that depicts, love, suicidal prevention, friendship, and youths. I give this drama a solid 10/10 rating.

King of the land was shit, boring with no story other than those two falling in love and after that it was the same old all the way through! One of the worst Kdramas I’ve ever seen. You need some sort of story to get your teeth into to hold your interest but this was lacking and so unbelievable and pathetic to be real. My favorite K-Drama of all time is My Love From Another Star. The reason why I like My Love From Another Star because the story is so unique, and I absolutely love the chemistry between the two main leads Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. I also like Weightlifting Kim-Bok Joo because the drama is so cute and playful. The comedy is also gold and the chemistry between the two main leads is Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk is amazing as well.

I know it was a big hit in korea but I just didn't liked it that much 1) story was way too unrealistic for me as love between #army officer who is NK and literally a chaebol 🤣 like these two characters were so beyond my wild imagination too 2) the way she literally landed into Nk and that is too in parachutes is kinda unhinged for me. They literally made fun of the science in worst way possible 3) and that fake fiancé drama I know it kinda work out but I am in my late 20s I don't like this kind of trope personally 4) and the way how they really showed the border situation it was really unhinged too for me

Have you watched the Chinese original version of "A Love So Beautiful?" It is also pretty good. The lead actress Shen Yue also was the lead in Chinese remakes of "Clean with Passion for Now” ("Use For MyTalent"), and "Boys Over Flowers” ("Meteor Garden"). There is K-drama somewhat similar to "A Love So Beautiful," "Playful Kiss "(2010) that was a remake of the Taiwanese 2005 drama "It Started with a Kiss," which itself was based on a 1990 Japanese manga. And to top it off there was also a Japanese re-make of the show in 2013, "Mischievous Kiss." I first watched the Korean version after discovering Jung So-min in "Because This Is My First Life," which was a great show. Once I discovered that there were versions of the show from both Taiwan and Japan, I thought it would be interesting to compare them. “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay is awesome, it was one of the first K-dramas I watched, while being on furlough for the second time in the aftermath of Covid. Doona was good, but the whole idea that she couldn’t have a career in the Korean entertainment industry while also having a private life is just a bit distasteful to me. And yes, Bae Suzy is good actress with a beautiful and interesting face. Just one of those faces that is hard to look away from, not just because it is beautiful, but because of some indefinable quality she has. I finally saw “While You Were Sleeping” last week, and it is probably my favorite drama I have seen with her so far. I also liked Itawon class, but it is not one of my favorites. Maybe I am too much of a realist, but I had a hard time buying the business aspect of it.

it’s a very hard question…I think Dream High, I was only 12/13 years old when I watched it and it inspired me so much. Looking back, it is a beautiful memory. Some of top dramas are: Secret Garden, Heart Strings, You are beautiful, Coffee Prince, Hwarang, Goblin, Crash landing on you, Reply 1988, Twenty-five twenty-one, Hyde Jekyll and me, Descendants of the sun, The Heirs Boys over flowers (my very first k-drama), W Two Worlds, Moon Lovers (scarlet heart ryeo), Rooftop Prince, Cinderella and the 4 knights, My love from the stars. I really recommend old k-dramas, they were just extraordinary!

i must say our beloved summer. every character had their own stories and it really fascinated me how come and how fast i judged them. a girl worried by poverty and struggles finds her safe place w a boy but its not a simple love-hate drama. kook yeon so, she had her mindset where she thought no one was beside her but we get to see her finally recognize those who were there for her. choi woong, his story had me confused, i wondered how come he be so careless w his studies.. does he really think that he can live off his parents money forever. and how come he does not feel jealous when ji woong becomes closer to his parents. but the truth was he knew that they are not his parents, he felt grateful to them for adopting him and loving him while he always carried the pain of abandonment from his biological dad. kim ji woong, a kid who was hungry of parental love. kid who had to find out that his mother blamed him for her problems. kid who never got to love his mother. kid who found parental love from choi woong's parents. nj, an idol. just because she was popular and a public figure, people never thought twice before criticizing her image and before sexualizing her. this drama made me fall in love w life. i don't have to make most of my time. we live to love and to love we stay strong. we accept people not because we forget their mistakes but because we forgive them. and as the saying goes "when one door is closed, god will open another one", i found that there's beauty in life and time, and living doesn't have to be all about exploring and making your names in big screens but living is about making ends meet and trying your best. atlas we all are lil bit trying, aren't we :)
