My comment is on the minor point of doing work within the system but yet outside the traditional system. This is such an important and difficult thing to do. Like TNM is the "alternative" which is now being mainstreamed, let us hope CPAP and similar efforts become the "alternative" way of doing work which will soon become the mainstream

For how long you will be beating the drums of dalit in a society which recognise only quality and nothing else. The whole world is now open to you. If you have mettle you can win the world. This is the ultimate mantra. Those who are lacking this are only crying fouls in the name of caste, colour culture etc. This persecution mania will lead you nowhere. Nobody wants today to carry the legacy of misdeeds of their ancestors. The main reason that caste issue thrives in India is purely political because a section of politicians thrives in this country on caste and religion based politics. They will never allow the common man to forgo these issues even if they want to do it. No enlighten person want to waste their time on all these. It is regressive.

Absolute bunkum ... when have courts differentiated on Lawyers / Judges. Simply creating an issue when none exists ... ultimately Nikita Sonavane is being respected today for her intelligence, education her professional prowess etc. where does caste come into picture. Possibly these issues were a thing of concern in the 70s and 80s .. are they relevant even today ...she goes against her own ideology here and there. The Criminal Tribes Act was introduced by White Men to punish Tribes or groups that joined the 1857 Mutiny am sure she knows more about this than me, plus Miscegenation laws and Exclusion of Asian, Blacks (Afro Americans) etc were all devised by the Americans and Europeans Ms Sonvane seems to imply that they were in the Manu sastras or am I hearing her wrong ...
