I live in GA and noticed when the prices went up. Most homes are about the started price. To be safe i would add an extra 25 to 50k to cost of house just to be safe, but it's pretty spot on. I also noticed they put in the annual mortgage payment. Which is far less than the salary required. Which tells me they are giving you numbers for the cost of living. Not just for the house.

With all those salaries, you will need to be close to debt free which most people aren’t. With that said, add another 30k to those salaries at least! People still want cars which are ridiculously priced right now. They want to save, travel a little, etc. can you get by on the listed salaries? Yes, but it will be tight!

While I appreciate the data, these numbers cannot be right. First off for these salaries, you need to subtract income taxes, medical/dental/vision, and (hopefully) retirement for the take home pay THEN add in the cost of homeowners insurance, property taxes, utilities, and inevitable repairs THEN not to mention the costs of actually buying the house: down payment, closing costs, and now potentially realtor commissions God forbid you have kids, family members that need taking care of, student loan debt, a car note, or cc debt! You have to have both a substantial amount of money saved up AND a much higher annual take home than this video says to comfortably buy and own a house
