I just found you. I’ve been a nurse for 30 years, most has been in the hospital; from med surg, LTAC, rehab, ER, charge nurse over orthopedic unit etc… I’ve been an RN supervisor in a nursing home over the last year. Have an opportunity to be a DON. This is all very different than hospital nursing as you know. Luckily, in the position I am currently in, I’ve gotten to know the staff, ADON, residents and administrator. I’m wanting to know all I can about the DON position and the most important aspects of the business part, that I should know. So many questions lol. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. God bless! ❤

I just took a position as DON of a large 80,ooo square four facility with facility with an LTAC and a Skilled facility. I need help getting started and I am devouring your videos. I start on May 20 and they just went through a survey with complaints and yearly. I don't know very much about surveys. What is going to be my biggest resource regarding surveys? I so appreciate your expertise thank you so much for your support and wisdom.

hi i just took position as DON, I have 13 year experience as RN. I'm looking for tips to successful as DOn since I haven't done this role before. I have 3 years RCM experience. I'm now getting out of ICU setting after 7 year of hospital nursing. Thank you
