All of your answers to questions are always reassuring to me. I watch certain ones over & over. This is one is where I’m struggling the most lately. For nearly 5 years I have been trying to cope with anxiety & depression since the death of my mother. I fell completely apart. I had just moved back to my hometown and had no support system. I fell into a deep hole. Almost able to climb out a few times but slide right back down. Now, adding to the depression & anxiety comes self hate, guilt, failure. Anger at myself for falling to pieces that I’ve had to resign from one job and discharged from another because I was hospitalized for self harm. How disappointed God must be! Over the last 4 yrs I’ve prayed harder sobbed “beat on God’s chest” begging for peace and healing more than I ever have in my life. I’m tired now. I push people out of my life because I do not want to burden anyone and it’s exhausting to fake “normal”. I’m just going through the motions and barely that . I still try to pray but it’s weak and pathetic and feel it’s just not working. How many years will I WASTE in this hole?? Am I not of better use to God than this? Or am I really all the things I tell myself. I go days without prayer just from exhaustion & being buried in self pity. It sparked some hope that the Holy Spirit is there praying on my behalf. I wish relief would come faster!! I’m wasting years of my life which causes anxiety too. I will listen to this video over & over. I need to rebuild my faith and hope. My mother was very close to God and had immense faith & she died young (thankfully quick without a long suffering). I’m lost right now & grabbing for any thread of hope. You do good work Dr. Betters. Your voice is peaceful and calming. Even the way you look seems comforting to me. Thank you

Thank you Dr Betters Since August I have really been going through a furnace and yes I have reached a point where praying just became impossible. I actually told my mom tonight that although I know the Lords return is so close, I am really worried because I can't pray. Now I know that even when I am talking and disputing every circumstance in my mind and I guess through that talking to the Lord, my friend and companion the Holy Spirit was pleading and explaining to Father God. Just groan before the Lord. The Holy Spirit knows the will of God for you and He will translate your groans to God. God looks on the heart.

Tonight laying in bed I'm hoping that I am not at that point. However, I am starting to feel helpless about something I believe God made an impression in my heart and wanted me to do. It has been three months since that began and have not heard a definite answer maybe some signs to continue. At this point I'm not sure if this is truly what God sent or somebody that had been manufactured in my mind by myself. And so I'm confused. I know Jesus and maybe he's saying wait. If I could only ask him and he would appear for a few seconds. But I think lots of people feel that way.
