You should put the dimension of the diamond along with the carat since not all carat weight have the same dimension nor similar. For example, my 2.4 carat has a 8.5mm whereas some 2.2 carat also has the same dimension so it makes a difference when comparing with the band width

I will admit this thing at the end while comparing the pave bands and the centre stone i was having trouble visually at comparing the centre stone because of the extra bling by the pave bands. With the basic solitaire you can really see the centre stone.

I wish we could see these on differently sized fingers. I have a 4 1/4 size finger, so a 2 ct stone would look totally different on my little fingers than someone with a size 6 finger!

Yes. The carat sizes-and gem cuts/shapes-look different on longer and slimmer fingers versus shorter and thicker/wider fingers (like mine). I’ve found as a shorter and wider finger person that the marquise cut looks flattering. It helps lengthen my finger instead of widening it. The oval cuts are a close second for being very adaptable and common, but helps carry the elongation that the marquise cut does.

So true on the setting! I literally got the most beautiful 5ct ring and like most women, wanted a dainty band. Well a year later and I already need a new setting because it wasn’t made strong enough to suport the stone…and my ring is not cooked. The prongs aren’t even tight anymore. On the bright side tho it gave me a chance to try a simple round cut and I’m actually falling in love with it. My original was an emerald cut which I definitely still love also. I used to think was was so basic and boring but now I see why they are so loved. They seem to looking flattering ok everyone!

We don't see stonkers like these in the UK very often. Mostly 0.50ct up to 2ct. I noticed whilst on holiday in the USA how many more people I saw wearing larger stones. I don't know if it's price or cultural.
@uberkirbeeh79542 жыл бұрын
Both. People in US compared to people in most EU countries, tend to go bigger with their gems because they want and can. US has diamond and gem deposits unlike most of EU. EU only has few gem mines, but not diamonds. The only planned diamond mine was planned to be open in Northern Savo, Finland, but they have yet to start mining there.

My two cents if you don't mind... but it depends on what you're looking for. If what you're looking for is for a lifetime use, I'd go with a lab-grown diamond. Not only is it cost-effective, but also ethical. I went with a lab-grown diamond myself mostly because it's ethical. My plan is to wear it for the rest of my life. No upgrades whatsoever 😊

That's interesting because a lab grown diamond has the same chemical specs as a natural diamond.

@jose098412 жыл бұрын
Not true, a lab grown is the exact same thing as a natural diamond when comparing physical and chemical composition so the lab grown will not lose its sparkle or color. If anything lab grown is more pure and will actually look better than a natural :)

Are these fake diamonds? I have never seen clear diamonds in person anywhere . They are usually cloudy. Lol. Not many people are looking to pay $40,000 to $100,000 grand for perfect 4c.

I feel left out as you only showcased the larger carat sizes! Your lowest 1.70 carat diamond example is out of my price range much less a 2 carat diamond.
