I just got the 32GB model and am fine with it. I survived with 16GB up to now (iPad Mini 2) but that was really cramped. 32GB is enough for me, but 64GB would have given me a comfortable insurance. However, in my country (Philippines), the jump to 128GB costs an additional Php 7000 ($143 approx.) and that is just too much to pay for something I might not actually need.

Thanks for this awesome video, I am a 13 year old kid and recently bought a 32 BG iPad 8th gen. There are 47 applications including asphalt and cod , and a few downloads, with 349 photos and 25 videos and still have 6.7 BG left, that’s amazing. My grandpa has a 128 Gb one which he regrets buying because he has many downloads and office work and all that adds up to just 24.1 gb, he also has 245 photos and 6 videos

I picked the 32 GB version because in my country it was very close to the US price. I'm very happy with it. I uninstalled the preinstalled heavy apps (Garage Band, Office Suite, iMovie, etc). With some apps (Gmail, Zoom, WPS Office, Discord, KZbin) and Genshin Impact (which takes almost 10 GB space), I still have 10 GBs left. I don't even NEED to have Genshin Impact installed as I have a good gaming PC but sometimes I'm lazy to turn it on lol. So, for a student who only streams content and takes notes in class, 32 GB should be enough.

I think you made a wise choice. If you're not sure, 128 won't disappoint. I think they did this on purpose. They wanted to segment the audience. If you don't need storage, 32GB is enough, if you do, get 128GB Thanks for sharing your process. Appreicate you being part of the channel!

Of course Apple did this on purpose. If they made a 64 gig model, just about everyone would buy that one because that’s what most people need. It’s marketing strategy. People on a tight budget will buy the lower 32 gig model, but will, likely have to upgrade sooner or buy extra iCloud storage. Since the cost difference between the 32 gig and 128 gig is fairly wide (about $130 to $150 here in the states .... $279 to $429 for the wifi versions). So you’re also paying a lot for that extra 96 gigs of storage. That’s why I was wondering if it would be so difficult to add an external Hard drive later. I’m sure I could get a fairly large sized external drive for $130/$150. What I wonder, however, is how complicated is it to use one of these, and am I just better off paying the $ now for the 128 model? Sorry, I’m thinking out loud here. 🤔 💭 Because the query then enters my mind, “What if I never need more than the 32 gig?” Then I wasted money. Aren’t you glad you’re not inside my head!?! LOL 😂 Anyway these are the thoughts I’m having as I’m getting ready to make my purchase. Probably later today. Wish me luck!! 😆

But there also a fear that 32gb wouldn't be enough for OS & App update in future and eventually forced me to spend extra money to upgrade.. Apple really do their homework on how to squezze extra money from their customer with not sell 64gb variant

I am planning to buy the iPad 8th gen but still thinking whether to get the 32gb or 128gb. I'll be doing some video editing with normal 1080p videos shot from other phones and sometimes the studio. My concern here is that Adobe apps and the IOS do get large in file size over time. This video helped me get sorted and I'm confident to get the 128gb. One of the better videos out there. I am a college student and I have a laptop also so I bought this just for entertainment like streaming Netflix or Spotify, taking note and paper and surfing web. My available storage after download some study app and streaming app is 16GB. I don’t store any photos or videos here cuz I also use iPhone and I take and keep mostly pictures there. Upgrade to 128GB is expensive, but I think is a good idea, specially if you travel with your kids, you can download their fav episodes from Netflix or a couple of movies and connect the device to the TV in the hotel. Besides, if you have the money and purchase the 4G version, even if you don't use it, it comes with GPS, and is very practical to use it as a map with offline maps like MapsWithMe to travel in a new country on vacations.

I went with the 128. I have 64 on my iphone and with all the streaming apps and apple music, Im well over 55. I sometimes go through and delete stuff. I think if you get 32, you will often find yourself having to delete an app or other things to catch up.

If you're an artist and using Procreate for your main base, 32 is more than enough to draw and sketch. But if you'd like to use your iPad as well for WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram (as your daily driver) I think you better get 128 GB. You don't need to install all apps since you have a phone. Then it's the best deal to choose 32 GB if you're a beginner artist.

I bough the 32 and wound up returning it for the 128. The software alone is 10 gigs. I had 12 gigs open after set up and got nervous. I have iCloud too but it just wasn’t enough for all the apps for school. I’d do the 128 so you’re not trying to save space from the get go!

I got a 32gb iPod touch some days ago, and honestly music will easily take over the storage if you want to hoard it like me, it managed to fit around 3000 songs, plus about 5 small games (sub 300mb each). I did buy it specifically for music though, so I don't really mind it, but I can't imagine how constraining it must be to have 32gb on a general-purpose iPad.

A lot of PDF’s don’t take up much space either. Just for notes, streaming music and videos, and a drawing here and there.. 32 GB is completely fine! If you do think you will buy games or draw more I would get a higher storage just because the apps for games take up a lot and drawing files can take up a lot.

Thank you very much for the videos you make I have been watching many of them and I still have a question. I am not familiar with Apple products at all and what I am concerned about is the reqular updates of Apple, does it require a regular updates? Are these updates too heavy? In other words, I do not want to buy the 32 GB version and after a while I become shocked that it is getting full because of updates,,,, kindly advice.

I made the mistake of buying the 16gb iPad air 2 6 years ago. It worked great for a while, but with all the updates, I am left with very little room for apps and videos. I always need to delete a bunch of apps every time I do an update which is painful. Just bought a 128GB this time.

@@nilooren haven't bought it yet, imma probably get it mid 2021. I'm starting to think its really worth getting the 128gb version. IpadOS updates take a lot of space and its always good to have storage since the ipad is more than just a drawing device, i will probably download media apps like twitter, instagram and reddit to post my art so... i just wish they had a 64gb option that would be perfect :/
