I’ve been using the iPad Air 4 64GB ever since it came out. Ive fully gone all out with magic keyboard, and pencil for maximum productivity. I really wanted to use an iPad so i could have gps, which allowed me to use maps for flight plans when doing my flight training. I can’t recommend anything more than this combo of stuff. The keyboard allows me to do assignments, and use the iPad as a laptop. It’s then super easy to take off the iPad and use the pencil for note taking. So efficient, and in my opinion the best value way of doing 1 device for EVERYTHING. In regards to storage, I literally just use Dropbox for everything, and have mobile data so i can download anything anywhere. Love it so much

If you’re not a film major it should be fine considering you have a computer and this is a companion I got it for $300 financed through Apple . $25 a month for 12 months . Really easy purchase for a student to make . And really, it’s awesome not having notebooks anymore . Or textbooks

I am getting the IPad Air 4. I have already made the decision but I was still very interested to watch this. I am going to be taking quite a few notes and will probably use it as a companion to my Mac at times. I bought my son the same iPad (7th Gen). I bought him a Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth mouse and he has gotten 2 six weeks in a row A/B Honor Roll through remote learning! This has been possible with just his iPad and those accessories! He’s also a big gamer so once he’s done with his school work he plays games on it with no issues! 😊

@@Anteater23 I agree with you to an extent, however, buying the Pro version is not just about the "now" intended usage. It is about a bit of future proofing (for lack of a better term). For example, I bought the 11" pro thinking it was all I needed. however after several months and several apps later, I found it wasn't big enough or had enough storage. when I got it, I didn't see that far ahead. Yes I am a pro, but still make a few rookie mistakes. lol I think getting mediocre specs to save money usually costs you more in the long run. Just my take. Buy it Nice or Buy it Twice :)

Hey I’m the same age and but I’m going into dual enrollment and I’m looking into iPad. My big question is do you regret not buying a bigger screen? I always been a “bigger is better person” but is that 11’ in ok? I’m a big split screen person and I heard the the IPad Air just doesn’t add up the the 12’ in and I don’t have a Mac so that isn’t a option to use that as another screen.

I do feel like this screen is big enough, I’m still able to split the screen and for taking notes it is a good size. I also haven’t seen the 12.9 iPad Pro that much, but this iPad is very portable and lightweight.

you're better off going for the 11" than 12.9. I regretted getting 12.9" for college because it was too cumbersome to carry around campus. Also, for you need it for, I believe Ipad air 4, iPad Pro 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 4th gen will work perfectly fine for note-taking and media consumption.

Thnaks for the review, in my opinion there is two type of senario for students Considering budget limitation between ipad air and Ipad 8 (about 400 - 800 $ including apple pencil) 1. Ipad 8 with 32 Gb 2. Ipad air 4 with 64 Gb so maybe ipad air 4 with better display, attachable pencil with better harware can be better for eyes, future apps and etc. but in other hands if it'll be used for note taking and maybe gaming sometimes, Ipad 8 is the right one. (More cash will be saved for future purchases) future purchases: "like buying mac mini, Imac, macbook , etc"

Thanks for the fantastic reviews. The 64GB entry storage is a bummer for the air 4 though if I want to get an iPad 8, 32GB is not even an option so I have to upgrade to the 128GB version which is 430USD. So at that point, I have one option as choosing the one with double the storage and keeping 170USD with potato cameras, older Bluetooth, older memory technology with less RAM 3GB, etc. On the other hand, the second option with less storage actually gives you longevity. Not only A14 is the far superior silicon that will handle the next iPadOS upgrades better, but it is also equipped with 2020 technologies and modern design that won't look ancient in the upcoming 5 to 6 years that I plan to keep my iPad without upgrading. Given the fact that Air has USB C and it is more convenient to use external storage options and no matter which iPad I purchase Apple Pencil is a must for me, I am getting the Air 4. Thank you, Sagi! Writing this comment to help those who are torn in between these 2 options like me, and can't make their minds.

I use OneNote for my class notes (the best!) and I use Documents by Readdle for my files and taking notes have been fun again. I won’t be using a physical notebook for school ever again. Both the 32gb or 128 gb will be enough. The IPad 8 is so school user friendly. You won’t regret getting it if you decide to.

I actually bought a cellular iPad Air 4. Connectivity is important to me and I work in a big tech retailer where I need to have access to a whole lot of information on request. I could easily pull out my phone to look up certain things but it just doesn't look "professional" by any means to do so. Having a tablet that I can write notes down on is certainly a much better way to go and I got it cellular so I don't have to rely on my store's inconsistent wi-fi.

I would definitely recommend it. I am an adult student and I use my iPad for note taking and reading eBooks. The one thing I would say is make sure you get extra storage if you get a base iPad or Air - I bought my iPad (6th gen base model) before I returned to school and I just had to upgrade because I completely ran out of storage on mine (32GB) even with nothing stored on it locally. Waiting for books to load every time is a drag - just do yourself a favor and whatever you get, get 128GB of storage minimum.

Hi when I was looking to buy my new ipad, I was watching a lot of YT videos but your video stuck with me the most. From the start I knew I wanted the iPad Air 4 because it is more future proofing and since I am going to keep it around for about 3-4 years minimum. The biggest question I had was can I get by with the Smart Folio Keyboard or should I fork out the extra cash and get the magic keyboard instead. Hi ! I have 1300$ dollars of budget, so I tried settling with iPad Air 4 WiFi 248 gigs, Apple Pencil and magic keyboard. I’m not looking for an incredible display, just enough to be able to draw well (Art school doesn’t give graphic tablets and I don’t want to buy a laptop and a screen display tablet wich adds up to over 2000$ wich I just wouldn’t use for anything else). Do you think it would work well with high power drawing apple like clip studio paint ? I’d also like to be able to play roblox and minecraft on it, I’m sure it’ll work well, but the only thing is I’m on 9 am to 6:30 pm everyday. I could buy a portable battery but it would last 1hour at most since I’m not high on budget, and I’m not sure of the Ipad air’s battery life. If I keep it on high luminosity but disable background app refresh how long will it last ? I’d be taking notes on things like Collanotes and Goodnotes5. Is there any high power portable battery that lasts long, isn’t very bulky (700 grams to 1 kilo in weigh is okay, over that weigh limit it would be risky for my back) and charges rapidly ? Propably ipad air 4, u can get a lot more feature that ipad 8 doesn't offer. Besides, it comes with a type c port so u can connect any ssd to ur ipad to increase the storage. 64gb would be enough for daily uses.

I own the iPad Air 4 256gb amd my brother owns the iPad Pro 2020 256 GB amd i can say that it really depends on what you're using it for. My brother is an artist so therefore he chose the iPad pro 11 inch. And he benefits a lot becaise od the Pro features of the device. Me kn the other hand chose the iPad air 4 because of the new upgrade and for my normal uses like surfing the net, youtube, games, online schooling, and even more. In what case do you mean when you say longevity btw?

@@giannen6241 oh yes! iOS devices have a long life span in terms of updates and new software features. So basically you cant go wrong with both. Its all up to how and what you use it for. 😊 they typically last for 5-6 years before it becomes obsolete.

If you mean the iPad Air 3 then yes! I got it in 64gb around 6 months ago for school and it’s sooooo good! Programs load up quickly, and the Apple Pencil w GoodNotes 5 works really well. I also use multitasking a lot which is useful for school work. It also has a laminated screen so it will be good for your drawing.
