So I commented on a previous video to ask what kind of spacers I'd need to put in 35s on a stock 08, and for a bit of an update, I had trouble finding some that fit, but the tire shop I took it to said they'd look around and actually found some. They are 1/4 in and they helped a lot. It didn't need any extra work, just the spacers.

I have a 2005 f-150 xlt that has the 5.4l in it and on stock rims I’m running 265/70/r17 tires and the only thing I’ve noticed after buying the truck is a little less gas mileage and the Speedo is off by like 3 miles. I run mudding tires cause I trail ride a lot but yeah no problems thus far.

Hey, y'all! This is "my take" and experience with the leveling/tire hight combo (personal). I have an '06 F150 FX4, with 20"rims, Supercrew w/ a 6.5' bed. After some research, and assistance from the "local tire shop, they informeme that I utilize a 2-2.5" leveling kit. Also, they suggested I could drop down to using the "factory" rims (18" spare rims), use Hurcules M/T tires (305/75R 18) tires. They also said it would give an "advertised" 34.5"front tireride hight, with a maybe"slight trim". I said "Go for it". I ignored the "slight trim", which actually would've been not even a 1/4" trim. Took the truck in for an alignment...Perfect alignment, complete, and have never looked back.

YESSSS!! I have a stock 4x4 2007. I maxed out the wheels using a 275/60/R20 with a 20x9 wheel. 9" is the max wheel width you can get away with And it fits jus perfectly! Theres is the most gentle rub if you make a left or right turn if your suspension is compressed due to a hard turn or driving fast. Other than that it is PERFECT!!

I'm in the middle of this with a 2006. 33/12.5/ 20 (Stock wheels are 8.5 wide) Full locked rubbed. With a 2" leveling kit full lock still rubs. I'm thinking I could have went with a less wide 33 and had zero issues. Now a tire place has told me I can do 35's as long as I do 11.50 or under width.

I have 06 4x4 with 2 inch lift rough country struts , new precision uca from oreilly ( better built ucas) with 17 off road rim and beefy bf Goodrich ats . 285-70-17 It’s pretty good a tad higher in front When you put some weight in the back in lowers a bit .. I would like some helper air springs in rear for towing and loads . Big tip If your engine ticks check for loose spark plugs ASAP

Looking at this video one thing you forgot to mention are you only talking about 18 in rims my F-150 came with 17 stock I did a Rough Country 2 inch level I bought some 20 by 9s with 33s 11 and a half tires don't know if it's going to fit I looked at the comments and I do not think that somebody has this setup

Hey Edward. You should have no issue at all with clearance running that wheel and tire setup. You could run that setup even without the leveling kit but since you are running a leveling kit you'll certainly be fine fitment-wise

I do believe that is true. I remember reading on F150 forum dot com (a great website btw) that the Harley's have larger calipers as part of an offered trim level package (or something like that) .. Is your truck one of the supercharged HD models'? That would make sense if a supercharged truck had larger calipers for a better set of brakes which would be needed to stop all that horsepower haha

Wheel offset plays a major role in tire clearance. I use the factory 2013 fx4 20s with 275/65/20 (34") with the slightest rub at full lock on a factory height 2005 f150. The tire rubs on the sidewall knobs of Goodyear ultraterrain tires.

I have the opportunity to buy a set of 2014 FORD STX/FX4 18" OEM/Stock wheels with tires M+S 285/70 R18. My question is ; will the 2014 Ford F150 Stock 18 " inch Rims/Wheels fit on my 2007 Ford F150 ?????? I would really, really appreciate your input on this. My concern is ; " are there any offset issues that I should be aware about ? Thank you Andrew 👍🔧

I just order some 33x12.5 inch tires for my 2wd f150. It currently sits one inch lower in the front than the back. I know I will have to raise it at least 2 inches in the front so that the tires will fit. Ideally I would like my truck to sit leveled. I was thinking I could put a 2.5 inch spacer in the front and a 1.5 inch block in the rear and I would be leveled and my tires would fit. My concern now is, will these spacers and blocks cause damage to my truck over time?

It might make change your ride quality a bit, but as far as damaging the truck, I have not heard of these causing any long term damage to any trucks. I have never experienced damage in my trucks from installing a leveling kit

Hey I got 33 12.5 on my truck and they rub the a arms on tight turns how did the spacers work out???

@@trufuel9054 I have no rubbing on the control arms. I did have a little minor rubbing on the air dam. I slightly trimmed less than an inch off of each side and i have no rubbing there anymore. I used blue painters tape and a saw on my Swiss Army knife and high grit sand paper to smooth it out. It looks very clean and untouchable. There is also some plastic behind the mud flap that I trimmed. I put the mud flap back on after I trimmed about 2.5 inches off. This allows the mud flap to push in when the tire occasional touches it. I chose to keep the mud flap on so that the tire does not catch the plastic I trimmed. Overall I did every minimal trimming with a pocket knife saw and I have rarely any rubbing, only on a very sharp turn. The rubbing that i get is just the tire sliding along the mud flab occasionally. I hope this helps.

@@powerwh33ls are you on the stock rim's?? I still have stock rim's and I really need a inch spacer to get it off the control arms. I did have some rubbing when the tires were brand new

No they will not. If your wheels are currently 17 inches in diameter, then you need to find larger tires with the same 17 inch diameter or else they will not fit your wheels.
