Looks like guys did really well. I was on that McFarlane stream on Whatnot and the prices in the auction were crazy, I was able to snag a 30 dollar Spawn Hot Wheels signed by the man himself. And it was good to see Tony make an appearance and bring you some gifts to boot!

The way for the place to not get too hot is to drop the temperature drastically an hour or more before the event starts. You want it to be cold to the bones that way your AC can keep up once you get busy.

Sarah and Angelo, come out to Sydney with your comics and you can use my house to sell them from! That Eclipso Special was one of the most hated comics by retailers because when they were delivered in stacks, the plastic jewel dug into the comic above it and left an imprint. That Conan run was a fantastic buy.

The whole concept of doing a comic book sell in your house is very cool. The issue that I would have is security. What did you have in place to prevent thievery and or people just pulling out a gun and robbing you?

My friend and I have been wanting to rent a table at some of our local shows just to get rid of some of our extra stuff we dont want to get some extra spending cash for bigger books. Only problem is slightly worried we wouldnt make much after making the table fee back. Been thinking about just doing a “garage sale” and just promoting it a bunch as a “collectible sale” to still hopefully bring people in

Great show,looks like you guys did well. I am still on the hunt for my last grail books to finish my 15 year comic collection but these last books are going to be a challenge to get, Resident Evil#1,Chew#1,TMNT#1, Hulk#181,X-Men#1 1963, Amazing Fantasy#15 and Batman#1 1940 but i might have to pass on the last three books cause I will never see those books. I have every other book I want and maybe if I get lucky I can find them in the wild. How would you guys go about trying to get these grail books?

The only book on that list i have is the resident evil in my PC but I got very lucky finding it cheap. when it comes to more exspenive comics a lot of times working out a payment plan with a trusted seller can work great.

In this economy $1 books will always be a hit but not sure if you are selling them at a loss? I always wonder how comic books stores profit from selling in the $1 bins because I am able to find keys and runs that are worth more than a $1.

I try to buy big collections and get the average under $1. After going over the collections I can usually find some books worth more and it helps a lot. We recently just picked up 33 long boxes for $3,000. 33 long boxes is approx 7,500 comics which is about .40 a comic so at $1 I double my investment.

@@TheComicsDen thank you for sharing. I always visit my local comic books stores to see what left over stock they will throw in the $1 bin. I was able to find a lot of new back issues released earlier this year in there. It’s really hard to guess which key issue will do well in the future especially for modern books. It seems like comic book producers know that introducing a new character in the issue might attract a lot of speculators but not all new characters ever make it big. I try to stick to books that I like. Just bought the 2023 Cosmic Ghost Rider run all from the $1 bin.

nice vid, always good to see the two of you together,, good sales it appears,,but I worry about you guys...I wonder how much profit there was in this as you bought the books at one time also for hard cash. I fail to see how you make money, practically giving away comics and discounting everybody on every buy. You have to make a profit at some time and unless you get the dollarbppks for free, I don't see it. Just the bags and the boards on the sold books already cost probably around 1000-1500 dollar. I hope I am wrong but I do not see how you make money on this,,, unless the You Tube revenues provide the real profits...
