Now this REALLY feels like the year of Shadow and this movie I'm sure will unlock a hidden/never before seen side of the character that will change our perspective on him and add more layers to the character. On a Shadow Spin-off, Alyssa Browne (Maria's Actress) has indicated that she would love to do a Prequel Show of Maria and Shadow on the Ark which is something all Shadow fans want and Maddie's actress has indicated it might happen along with Fowler. Fowler worked on the 2005 game so Shadow is his baby, he is not going to let his baby boy collect dust or be mistreated. Plus, imagine how cool it would be - We have the prequel series and then at the end, Shadow is waking up and the first thing he sees is Rouge the Bat and then in Sonic 4, he not only returns with Rouge and Omega but Amy makes her Debut and the film has Metal try to take over the world and after that, we have the Shadow Solo-film with the Black Arms invasion that leads into Sonic 5 with Silver

IF Amy is not in the movie (I don’t think that she will be but I still hope) than I think I know the obvious next point. Sonic Movie 2 was a loose adaptation of both Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. Movie 3 is a loose adaptation of SA2. I think Sonic movie 4 will be a loose adaptation of Sonic CD and introduce the two biggest players still missing, Amy and Metal Sonic. (And while I don’t think this will happen, I personally think Sonic 5 should introduce Silver and Blaze who come from the destroyed future but the twist is that it wasn’t destroyed by Iblis, but instead the Black Arms which can help us learn more about Shadow as well.)

If I'm not mistaking in one of the written interviews of Sonic Frontiers the devs admitted that there is some inspiration from the 1st movie on some of the visual approach that the game has.

Eggman will be on Sonics side until he meets Gerald, than Eggman will betray team Sonic, and on the ark they will atack earth, so someone needs to step in and remind Shadow that Maria didn't want that. I think that is how it is going to go in this movie...

It would be boring. Maybe they'll follow the original line and make Eggman recognize that Gerald's ideals are bad, come on guys, that's what makes Eggman's story in SA2 so good, with the ending, with him going against Gerald's ideals. It would be redundant to have two villains, Eggman and Gerald. The third movie is great for making Eggman's "redemption" and it's not like that hasn't already happened in the games themselves, and I think Jim Carrey's Eggman deserves an interesting last appearance where he's not just the evil villain to be defeated.

Personally speaking I don't think Eggman is going to betray Sonic before the end of the film. My opinion is: I think Gerald is going to try and sway Eggman to his side, but once it gets to the point where Eggman realizes Gerald has gone completely insane and plans to destroy the world, he refuses and continues to side with Sonic. They might set him up for betraying Sonic after the film, but during the film I don't think he will. At most he might have a back-and-forth with Gerald until he realizes Gerald is trying to destroy the world.

If the theory is true that Tom might die, it'll be Tom's wife to talk him down. How much more powerful of an impact would it be for Shadow to hear Tom's wife forgive him? For her to stand before her husband's killer and tell him she knows his pain and just wants the best for him, that he's not this monster, but a product of those who led him down the wrong path. It would make him question everything he's been doing up to this point and his own ability to forgive. Don't get me wrong, the games are great but the games/anime are written from a Japanese shonen esque perspective and I think it's a bit of a risk to go too far into the weeds. The story has to be somewhat "Westernized" for general audiences.

“Shadow’s story began a lot like yours, Sonic. But where you found family and friends. Shadow only found pain… and loss…” That line is not only true of Shadow and backstory, but it gives me hope that the movie is going to do Shadow and his story justice. So far with what the trailer has shown, that seems to be very much the case. Shadow’s movie design looks very cool. The way he moves and attacks is just like the games. And I am now sold on Keanu Reeves voicing Shadow. Looking forward to hearing more of his performance. It does seem that the overall movie plot will play out differently than SA2 but will keep the core components of Shadow’s backstory intact. Which I am absolutely ok with. The first two movies were already sort of doing their own thing but still incorporating the core components of the Sonic series. It seems the 3rd movie will do the same. Overall, this trailer was a great first impression of the 3rd Sonic film. We got to see Shadow, Team Sonic working together, Dr. Robotnik return, a glimpse into Shadow’s past, and even Gerald still alive. I’m interested in seeing what role he’ll play in this and how him and Dr. Robotnik will interact. And the music for this trailer perfectly set the tone. That Green Hill cover gave me chills sounding grandiose but somber at the same time. Really set the tone well. And then the end of the trailer with an orchestral rendition of Live and Learn was amazing. I’m super excited for the 3rd Sonic movie.

Its funny how people tend to consider Jason to be "the voice" of Shadow, even though David Humphrey predates him. Jason somehow wound up voicing Shadow far longer than David ever did (David Humphrey only voiced shadow in SA2 and Heroes), especially since he also voiced Shadow in Sonic X. Though Ryan Drummond also voiced a few lines of dialogue for Shadow as well in Sonic Adventure 2. They forgot to have David voice those lines, so when Ryan happened to be in the studio they asked him to voice the lines instead and you can barely even notice the difference. (Because, well, it'd cost them even more money to bring David back in again to voice a few more lines they forgot about.)

I just love the scene where he breaks out of the stasis chamber and he’s all drenched in the liquid that was in it. It’s a really nice detail. Like you can see his gloves are shiny you can tell that he’s wet. I just love that detail.

It's still crazy to me how successful the Sonic movies have been. I've been a Sonicc fan since the Adventure games, and i would have never thought Sonic would work as a motion picture franchise, yet, here we are. Im excited for the movie, and while i dont expect it to adapt Sonic Adventure 2 completely, im curious to see how it interprets the story in its own way. I do hope we see The Ark, idk if we will see team sonic go to space or fight the biolizard, but i cant wait to see how the movie turns out

I feel conflicted about the recent trailer. We need to see the Space Colony Ark & I'm worried it was replaced by the River Thing. We need Amy (She's existed longer than Knuckles has & reminded Shadow of Maria) & Rouge (an easy method to gather the Chaos Emeralds) & we deserve Biolizard if we aren't getting GUN hunting them throughout part of the movie.

It’s really about the journey and not the destination. Since some audience played the games and now the source material, we know these character’s potentials. Instead of seeing Sonic as an unstoppable force of nature, Sonic is seen taking some real L’s. We see that he doesn’t always believe in himself. We see that he’s openly dependent on his friends and family because of how he grew up. After their character arcs come full circle, we are gonna reflect on this journey and see how much they grown.

I love this so much and I didn't even make that connection between the actor of Keanu Reeves and the character he is voicing. They both loss and went through so many amounts of suffering and they can only choose which path to go down whether for good or for evil. This is the first full Trilogy of Gen Alpha and I'm happy for them, this is Cinema. Yes it is more Gen Z Millennials, but I can't think of any movie franchise that Gen Alpha had outside this. It's still a kids movie and the kids are Gen Alpha, glad they finally get something they can look back on, once they're older and have nostalgia.

I honestly never wanted anyone other than Keanu to voice Shadow in the Paramount Sonic films, so I was very happy when I found out that Keanu would be voicing Shadow. It's one of the only things I genuinely love about the Paramount Sonic films. I am going to be honest, I loved the trailer for what it was but I still hope if we get more Paramount Sonic films after Sonic 3 that Paramount will do a reboot and I say this as someone who usually hates reboots. I hate the 'Sonic in the real world' premise of the Paramount Sonic films, it's inherently restrictive and robs the films of the exciting science-fiction/fantasy elements of its source material that made me fucking obsessed with the Sonic franchise as a kid. It's obvious that the Paramount Sonic movies prioritise the general audience (AKA the normie audience) over actual Sonic fans like myself, which is ironic because I strongly believe that if they prioritised us Sonic fans over the general audience, they would win over not only us Sonic fans but ALSO the general audience. And us Sonic fans are at least equally as important as the general audience because the general audience will only watch this movie once, whereas us Sonic fans are likely to watch this movie more than once. In the original Japanese version of the games, Sonic's home was always Earth all along albeit obviously an alternate version of Earth where humans and anthros live together. Paramount needs to do that to move forward with its Sonic film franchise, in my opinion. And Jim Carrey most likely retiring from acting after Sonic 3 is a good justification for a reboot, especially because Paramount said they won't replace Jim Carrey with another actor to play Robotnik. Just do a reboot on an alternate version of Earth where humans and anthros have been living together all along and make that reboot entirely animated to stay more true to the spirit and the lore and the imagery of the games. That way Sonic can live up to his true potential on the big screen just like he deserves.

i really feel like this film is going to fully realize just how powerful shadow is too. in the games its always stated that shadow is a rival and an exact physical match for Sonic and that they share the same speed, agility, etc while also having chaos based abilities, and yet it's never really shown as sonic almost always comes out on top one way or another. here, it seems like they're going all in on showing that shadow is really, _really_ strong

I think shadow won‘t be the true villain of the Movie. Eggman will team up with his grandpop and will create Metal Sonic, since Sonic Gave him the power eggmann needed and they will fight them in the end, where doctor eggman dies but Metal Sonic survivies somehow and in Part 4 we will see more.

I know it’s Keanu’s voice, but somehow, he gives me that vibe Griffith had: cold, brooding, dark, a deep, smooth voice to match. But less raspy. Ultimately, he gets across what Shadow is: A broken person hellbent on revenge, with only hate as his compass.

I really don't think we get Adventure 1 at this point (how would Chaos even work in the context of the story at this point with the Echidnas being wiped out in a war with the owls?). And Heroes would be EXTREMELY loose at best, primarily being based around Metal Sonic as the main antagonist. I don't actually see them doing much else from Heroes, nor do I think we'll get anything from Shadow the Hedgehog barring a few loose references. Sonic '06 is... iffy. Considering how poor that game is, again, the adaptation there would probably be extremely loose at best. Also, Knuckles already has the Flames of Disaster, so that would be really hard to implement as well because of that. If Chaos appears anywhere, its probably actually replacing the Biolizard. Gerald already created Artificial Chaos in the games, having previously acquired Chaos in-universe and using it as the basis for his experiments is certainly possible. We need to keep assuming these films are just straight adapting one game, and instead acknowledge that they often draw elements from multiple games at once. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 pulled from the entire Death Egg Saga for example, and even drew in elements of Sonic Adventure by explaining what happened to the echidna tribe (which happened differently than in the games ofc). This film is already at least nodding to Shadow the Hedgehog. We already have the "GUN Commander" who knows about Project Shadow's history (he's even been in all three films so far). Shadow uses a bike like in Shadow the Hedgehog and very much fights much like in that game's cutscenes as well. There will likely even be more nods to Shadow the Hedgehog, even if most of this is based around SA2.

I am definitely curious about how they would handle movie silver in the future with a potential 06 inspired plot. Silver is my probably favorite out of the "big three hedgehogs," and I would really like to see him get more love in the games and in media. I am also super excited to see Shadow in this movie as well. I love Keanu Reeves as an actor, and I am excited to see where they take this version of Shadow.

When Shadow says "You're a colorful bunch" the way I hear it, I can feel a sense of jealousy towards Sonic, they made the point that Shadow and Sonic are similar but Sonic got lucky through life, which Shadow would be evious of, adding a layer of envy on top of his reveng plot, when he says that line, the way he says it, his expression, and the words themselves, I can just feel resentment, it's like he is saying "Look at you, you a so similar to me yet you look bright and happy while I am not, and I will burn the world for its unfairness" Also if they make a Shadow Movie or Shadow TV show in like, what? 2 years, I swear to god we will have an other year of Shadow x) I mean... I would gladly take a remake of Shadow 05 along side the Movie, to restructure the story and structure of the game, the story threads were cool and Shadow's character was amazing, of course it was messy, but if you pieced it better and make it clearer it would be awesome. Also I wonder how much we will se Maria in the movie, in the Shadow games we just... learn that she is important to Shadow, but we never understand it, like we just guess how close they are, and accept that she is that important to him, but we don't fully comprehend it, which is why I am hyped for Dark Beginnings. Finally, Shadow could have so many character arcs, I wonder which one they will stick too, there is the OG Shadow who became the hero Maria wanted, or the actual Shadow that rejected his past and will make his own destiny, will they exploit his death? If they do a TV series, will they use his amnesia plot? So many possibilities with Shadow.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel like the overall vibe around Sonic changed after the redesign of the first film. After that did well, we got the second film which I thought was awesome and also finally brought Knuckles back from being just a bumbling idiot AND that same year, Frontiers released which felt like a step in the right direction for Sonic Team. Now we not only have anticipation for this film but the added excitement for Shadow Generations really feels like hype for Sonic is in full force!

I thought they said this was going to be Sonic's Version of The Avengers. We need Amy & Rouge otherwise the End Game team up doesn't work. I'm as worried as you are that the Movie Verse is going to ruin the SA2 Story. The Sonic Fans want legacy characters to appear, casuals should be able to accept Amy & Rouge.

Subbed, I personally have always loved all thing's Sonic, games tv shows growing up, and the movie's and Knuckles show too, each is different, yet unique and great in it's own way, I never for a second had any doubt that with each Sonic related project after the first film, that each entry would slowly build upon the previous, take lessons learned, and apply them to future projects, now we Sonic fans are getting not only Sonic X Shadow Generations, but Sonic The Hedgehog 3 too, I hope fo see more from this universe and can't wait to experience this film opening night in the theater, the hype is palpable, Shadow is coming! 🤯🙌🏾🔥😃😎

I think 06 is next, they’re doing it in popularity order not in continuity. If it follows the release pattern of every other year, Sonic 4 would release in 2026, the 20th anniversary of 06. Sega might also do something with that anniversary in mind, year of Silver???

I don't necessarily think they're doing it in "popularity" order, plus 06 was absolutely NOT popular lol. We shouldn't think of it on a game-by-game basis but on a character basis. Metal Sonic is probably the next best antagonist to introduce. Silver doesn't have the same pull that Metal Sonic does, or Shadow does. Also: I think if Blaze appears in the films later on, we cannot assume she's from an alternate dimensions like she was in the games. Blaze could just be another "alien from another planet", she's just not from the same planet Sonic is from. (I've heard people speculate the same is the case for Tails as well; Tails likely isn't from the same planet Sonic is from in this universe.) Silver is probably still best being introduced as from the future, but changing Blaze to be from another planet isn't a huge change by comparison. The Babylon Rogues could also be a good introduction, as IIRC, the film creators literally already tied the Owl designs to the Babylon Rogues. So they could show up to be tied back into the Owl race that Sonic was connected to.

Here’s some good ideas for adaptations they can do: Movie 4: sonic CD & Sonic OVA. Shadow defeated and missing in action, Metal sonic is the main villain, little planet shows up, maybe avoid time travel plots unless they do a “time traveling is localized and only affects little planet but outside of it time is moving normally as usual”. And I want them to take lots of influence from Terminator 1 for Metal sonic. Amy should defeat him at the end like Sarah Conner did in terminator 1. Metal sonic should be battle damaged and exposed metal skeleton like a terminator. Movie 5: sonic adventure 1 and Daytime Sonic Unleashed and Sonic X. The echidna tribe, Chaos Zero, Perfect Chaos, Station Square, sonic interacting with the human world and going on a globe trotting adventure and uncovering mysteries. Sonic Movie 6: Sonic Heroes and Advance 1+2 and Knuckles Chaotix and Triple trouble. Sonic goes to a new planet that is like how Sonic heroes looks, just lots of animal characters and no humans. Neo Metal shows up and tries taking over and he disguises himself like eggman a lot and it’s like Terminator 2 with the liquid metal terminator. And they fight Neo Metal thru out the whole movie along side his army of Fake Metal animals and Shadow Androids but based on the other characters. We see Cream, Vanilla, everyone from heroes, and at the end we fight Metal Overlord and save the day. And maybe shadow comes back half way thru the movie or in the final quarter of it. Bark, Bean, Fang make an appearance. They go back to earth cuz of some reason to setup the next movie. Sonic Movie 7: Shadow 2005 . Basically the shadow movie. Sonic Movie 8: Sonic Battle and Sonic Advance 3. Story of Emerl and Gemerl. Maybe with Sonic unleashed as well. Emerl can replace sonic cuz in this version of events the Werehog form makes sonic feral and out of control. Gemerl can be redone as a creation by eggman Nega and we can drop subtle hints at time travel. And it can have blaze in it too and the story of the rush games and at the end of the movie Emerl and gemerl and Eggman Nega all get trapped in another dimension the Sol dimension and Emerl doesn’t die he just willingly made sure he could take Nega and Gemerl with him in the portal/wormhole. Blaze gets stuck with them too but maybe somewhere else. To set up her meeting silver. Sonic Movie 9: Sonic 06. Time travel movie, mephiles, silver, iblis, Solaris. With better writing and no plot holes. We can bring back Eggman Nega and Emerl and Gemerl and this can be the final movie. Then they should stop making movies and do a new amazing high effort TV show. Sonic Tv show seasons ideas: Sonic Riders, Sonic riders Zero Gravity, Sonic Colors, Sonic Frontiers, Sonic X season 3, Sonic Chronicles.

I saw this trailer again a few times and I think the clip of him teleporting at Knuckles and that other part when he turns his head as he is talking, If you see very closely before he goes for Knuckles, his back is turned as he is walking away, so I believe when he is walking away, that's when Knuckles goes for him and he then turns his head around and then we see what went on in this trailer.

I feel like a guy named JD Frank 20 needs to see this. He thinks that Sonic 3 is going to be terrible just because Amy Rose won’t be in it or Rouge but if you add 3 new characters technically 5 you need introduction for all those characters and then it’s to cramed and then you can’t tell a serious story and it’s just all over the place. This movie is honestly better off without Amy and Rouge I’m sure Amy will atleast be in 4 but that’s for another time.

possibly hot take: I do NOT want Shadow to sacrifice himself in the movie and "die". We already know he'll be back by the next movie they make, it's just guaranteed by the market and the games themselves. Instead, I think the end to this movie should be that Shadow does the sacrifice play, but then Sonic, in his super form, saves him. We could then have a scene in which he makes up with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, suggests they're friends now and then he leaves. He would be their friend from afar and whenever there's trouble, he can pop up, but he'll be busy figuring himself out now. He needs to find out what he should do for his own future, what sort of person he wants to be. Cue Shadow the Hedgehog movie!

@@soniccreations I think so, too, but not for the fact he gets amnesia. I personally think memory wipes are quite the cheap plot device: it usually just makes a character regress their development and then go back to the point they were before the wipe. In Shadow's case, that's not exactly what happens, but what we have in the games could still happen without a memory wipe. Not to mention Shadow in SA2 already struggles with his memories, so having him continue to struggle with those but in an even greater basis to me feels repetitive. Instead (and I would've loved his game to be like this) the focus should be on him taking what happened, all his experiences, and deciding from then on what sort of hedgehog he'll be in the future; this can be arranged without washing his head clean. It's less about pure subversion and more using the benefit of hindsight, you know? It'd help make his appearance in the next installments a simple progression and much less confusing.

Soleanna from Sonic 06 was literally based off the real-life city of Venice, Italy. So they film the majority of a potential Sonic 06 story adaptation there. Wow, what a world that we live in where people want to see Sonic 06 on the big screen! 😁

I feel like they’re saving Sonic Heroes as their Avengers 1 film with 06 being their Avengers 2. That’s just my theory though. I also theorize from the trailer that not only will Amy be introduced by the end but other characters like Rouge, the Chaotix, the actual chao, Cream & Cheese, Big, etc. thanks to a chain reaction made by the red ring blackhole. That would be an amazing way to end the 3rd movie while leaving it open ended for more characters and more adventures. Hell, maybe even locations like Angel Island appearing through an enormous one as a result! There are many possibilities on how they can continue the movie series and introduce elements from the games, and I can’t wait. I can’t help but continue to feel optimistic. 😊

Sonic 1: good movie. Didn’t really feel like a “Sonic movie” Sonic 2: great movie. Focused more on being a Sonic movie than a normal movie. Super Sonic was sick as heck Sonic 3: from the first trailer, looks 10x better than Sonic 2

I hate to say, but I get the strong feeling this might be the last movie in the series. They may have the steam for at least 1 more with Chaos, but I don't think Metal. I say this because listening to the trailer something is weird with the way Eggman says "if I can't rule the world, I might as well save it", like he's desperate, maybe sacrificing himself to stop something, maybe that black hole thing? If so, this might be the way they sunset Jim Carey into retirement. It would be tiresome doing 2 death fake outs in a series. Eggman's involvement in Chaos' story was just shallow enough that it could be written out to focus more on the Echidna tribe's, but if they do off Eggman, there is no Metal without Eggman.

There are a ton of rumors of other characters appearing in this movie as well. IMDB has a few people with unlisted roles, most notably Jorma Taccone. As of right now, James Wolk is playing a Voice but it is unlisted as to who a few potential options could be Espio or Metal Sonic if they tease him. Sofia Pernas sounds a lot like Rouge from her voice acting roles, but could even be playing Amy for all we know. Cristo Fernandez played Wheeljack/Pablo from Rise Of The Beasts and could be Espio or even Big The Cat. If they're doing Sonic Heroes characters for a setup movie, this could be a fun ride for the finale.

@@soniccreations Jorma Taccone is the only one I could see playing Silver given his higher profile Hollywood status. Especially because they kept Keanu as Shadow a huge secret for a while during pre-production. I don't think there will be time travel, just flashbacks. Unless they do pull a 180 and the ending is a time travel cliffhanger and Silver has to get involved. Even then I only see an end credits appearance for Silver. Odd are whatever team from Heroes that they will tease (if they go that route), they will be end credits or last minute appearances to not fill the movie with too many characters. I see a Sonic + Shadow team up to fight Metal Sonic with some help from a member or members from Heroes as the final fight. If there is time travel, it would be in part due to Shadow and Gerald's original plan + Eggman's interference to create Metal Sonic. Causing a timey wimey screw up that sends everyone somewhere in the past in different places. Which in turn, would allow for the introduction of new characters at the end, either cliffhanger ending or end credits ending to introduce them. It's the only logical way to do things to keep the story of 3 solid without drawing away from it.

Well we have to say good bye to "Knuckles being the muscle" arc soon, cause they done him dirty getting beaten by Shadow with just one hand but at the end of the trailer Sonic is fighting Shadow alone which is confusing. Knuckles has always shown to be a powerful opponent to Shadow respectfully that he had to go all out on him even taking his rings off that holds his power. But here is almost as if he would be weaker by other character's showings of strength in the future and I'm not sure if that's something we wanted. I know Shadow is way more powerful but Knuckles is not that far off. W video.

Considering that in the trailer we see Shadow seemingly cut power to a city, I have to wonder if they’re going with a different plan for the villains’ arc. “Destroy the planet” is certainly not a new concept in stories, and it would be far too predictable of a plot for the long-time fans and would feel uninspired even to the average moviegoer who goes to see this with their kids. So how about this for a plot: Gerald and Shadow grew to understand humanity’s potential for unity and progress aboard the Ark Station, but the violent cancellation of Project Shadow reminded them of how even the best intentions are controlled with bureaucratic restrictions and covalent corruption that ultimately fling much progress made back to square one. Shadow and Gerald continue to see that humanity is marching down a selfish path straight to destruction and decide that the only way to save it while also getting revenge on the government for the murder of Maria and their colleagues is to tear it all down and begin anew. We never really think much about how precarious our comfortable, modern lives are until there is the threat of a natural disaster wiping out our livelihood or even the aging power grid finally kicking the bucket because of an extreme climate shift. How long would it take for society to completely collapse? How many people would inevitably die of hunger or exposure because we can’t deal with such scarcity anymore? It would be a relevant topic for the movie to discuss while being far less initially destructive so that it could be shown in a family film. In an ironic way, Shadow’s view in this case could be seen as valid. In his mind, he’s giving the human governments a push to be less divisive and punishing them for their heartlessness.

I admit the trailer made me more nervous about the direction of the movie. I was expecting to see Amy or Rouge rather than Gerald still alive. The Ark is too small it was supposed to be a city sized Space Station in orbit not something that can fit inside a river. I can understand taking liberties like not blowing up half the moon, although 1/3 of SA2's Story took place in space (9 Stages, 3 Rival Battles, & 2 Additional Bosses) & Shadow's game showed off even more of the place.

Yeah we’ll have to see how they handle it. If that is the space colony ark then it is a bit disappointing. But if it works best for the story they are crafting then I trust they know what they’re doing. At least we’ll see a proper ark in shadow generations: dark beginnings.

I feel at MAX we could get 6 or 7 good or at least decent movies out of this franchise before things would sorta start to fall apart. There are so many Sonic games but I feel you could pick and choose the most beloved fan favorite games to adapt to film and/or the ones with the best stories. But if it goes on too long like the Too Fast Too Furious films then it might suffer from the 'sequelitis' effect.

8:13 a lot smaller, the ark is dozens of kilometers long, if that thing fell to earth the impact would be worse than the Chicxulub impact If that disk thing from the trailer is the arc its like a hundred meters at most

To be more precise, the ARK fall was devastating in the game because of the chaos energy in it - Robotnik says that the eclipse cannon juice will explode massively. Part of why the way they tried to stop it was by defusing the chaos energy.

@@KOTEBANAROT even without the chaos juice the Ark is at the bare minimum is 10 miles or 15 kilometers wide As a direct comparison the Chicxulub impactor was "only" 6.2 miles wide or 10 km, mount Everest is 5.5 miles or around 8 kilometers So the Ark would at minimum cause a second mass extinction event
