6 regular FM channels, with drums split into several separate channels, snare drum waveform that's obviously from the OPL rhythm mode. Doesn't appear to be using any waveforms for FM instruments other than sine waves. I'm thinking either YM2413 or YM3526.

Maybe even YM2612.

Definitely not the OPLL, it’s more harsh than this sound chip. I’m thinking the OPL2, maybe in drums mode.
@marisakirisame8677 ай бұрын
It also can be in OPL but since the sound got more than just a sine, then it might correct

Maybe an OPL3 pretending to not have 4 operators?
@roshwyinstaicoon2593 Жыл бұрын
YM3256 with drums, I think. I changed my mind, it's Yamaha YM3812 OPL2 soundchip. Actually... Come to think of it, I'm starting to think that this is a Yahama Y8950 soundchip.
@Mississippi-pissing Жыл бұрын
Nope. Y8950 has a ADPCM and this is not using a ADPCM.

Either an OPL3 pretending to be 2 operator or an OPL2 in drums more

OPL1/OPLL/one of these ymu-something chips they used to put in mobile phones

OPLL. Because there's noise that causes because of DAC (it's rounds floating point numbers, so it causes noises, especially when it slides volume. In some tracks it's adds harmonics, so it would be easier to hear the music (Like NES' triangle that have squarish ladder that help triangle bass add harmonics, because triangle mostly was used for bass in NES games, and TV was the output of the audio. So, if triangle was smooth, you likely wouldn't hear anything.)

You can be true but the OPLL got shitty DAC and thus making the sound get the noise
