This is such a great review! Love the plain English, no nonsense description of the sound. No fancy reviewer talk, but real world gut level explanations we all relate to. From this, I have a real idea these are the speakers I want. Great job.

I've had my A7X's for a few weeks now and I love them. I used KRK Rokit 8's for 12 years and the Adams sound really tight. They are not blurry in the low mid range and those highs sound really clean & clear. I just watched your unboxing and I was lol'ing. You seem like a good dude man. Great review.

@@cameobelafonte4975 That's great! Enjoy! Some advice: keep the KRK's as a reference if you can. I had a bit of a slow adjustment period with the ADAM's. Now I use both sets of speakers and can switch between them at any time, which is handy.

I have been using the Adam ax7s for about 3 years now! While I love them now in the beginning I felt like the ax7s was trying to be bigger than the 7 woofer could replicate properly. Then I added a 10 inch subs 1 for each. Boom incredible!!

Hs8 or A8X ? Monitors will be close to the wall, and thank you for the info and keep Goin
@erikduijs27234 жыл бұрын
HS8s are back ported, so they might not work as well as the front-ported Adams when close to a wall. Personally I do slightly prefer the HS8's low-end over the (much more expensive) A8X though, which I feel are a bit too bottom-heavy. But in your situation, the HS8s might not be the best choice. Consider the A7X too! They pack a serious punch down to ~40Hz and overall I actually prefer them over the A8X. If you feel they lack something in the bottom octave (which they do a bit), consider adding a sub in due time. You might even consider A5X+sub; those almost 'forgotten' A5Xs sound surprisingly good and might save you some cash if you're going to add a sub anyway. In any case, try to audition any speaker before buying anything; you might simply not like the sound of the Adams.
