Any decent suit will have a kind of rubber-band addition inside the waistline, and it will cling to the shirt (or skin) and keep the pants up even when you lose several inches. The band doesn't;t contract the pants, it just adds some traction that will keep the pants up and not let them slide off in an instant. Belts shouldn't be necessary, plus they break up the form, the flow, the line of the suit.

to get a completely bespoke suit equivalent to a $6k Tom Ford would cost at least $8-9k just for the suit to be made. Tom Ford's suits are on the same level in terms of quality. also, alot of people in that bracket, while wanting a nice suit, don't know loads about fashion, so wouldn't know what they like in terms of lapels and very specific areas of tailoring. for example, Tom Ford had the highest number of clothes being worn at the Oscars last year than any other brand

A few points. Suit Supply is a great value. Can not argue that point. I think their people (atleast in NYC) are weirdly snobby but the value proposition is hard to beat. Their suits are made in China (using great fabrics) which is one way they hit the lower point. Also he mentioned them being half canvasses. Key. Notice how the suit does (and does not) move with him. Contrast that with the Tom Ford suit. See how it moves on him like a second skin. The lapels never leave his chest. And it’s new which means it will only conform better to his body with time. It’s fully canvassed for one. Uses fabrics exclusive to TF. All of his suits are made in Italy or Switzerland. Weirdly, unlike the snotty service in Suit Supply. the service in Tom Ford is superlative. They make you feel like a boss. Treat your beautifully. Never make you feel like you don’t belong in the shop. TF value? It’s tough. They’re super expensive and he’s not wrong about being expensive to tailor. TF suits are constructed so intricately that you HAVE to use a top tailor who understands it. Expensive. Suit Supply is great. Can’t take anything away from them but a Tom Ford suit is just... Amazing. You’ll never regret buying one. And another tip? TF has outlet stores in NY and CA. Shhhhhh...

Places like that try to rip you off by giving you an "experience" instead of exclusively what you came there for. In my opinion, if you're going to drop four figures on a suit, it would be best to go to an old, reputable, hole in the wall tailor. Such places can make you a fully-bespoke suit for between $1,200 and $2,500.

My bracket is Suitsupply - Bespoke. With Suitsupply you get an incredible suit at the $600-$800 range bracket, but with bespoke, such as Michael Andrews in NYC you can get a perfect fitting suit made specifically for you for only 3.5K! and yes if blows the Tom Ford suit and experience right out of the water! buy 2 perfect suits for the price of one almost perfect suit.

Ok, I was with him up until he said he wanted John Wick and this guy recommended a pin stripe suit. Wait...WTF. Anyone with a brain, knows NO WAY IN HELL John Wick wears a pinstripe suit. Let's continue.

This may sound broke but does any of this actually matter as long as you look nice?..When I first started getting into suits I found a few Dior suits at a local consignment thrift and tailored them and they still fit incredibly.

Me too. I took my thrift shop Christian Dior to a tailor and he cut the cuffs off. Man I was irritated by that. That is an important detail. It fit well, but was missing that one thing. I still have it though lol.

I would say it depends on the occasions. I won't choose the 1st option; I rather save money and buy the 2nd option. The 2nd option is for on a daily basis like for the work. The 3rd option is for special occasions like meetings, birthday parties...etc. If I can afford the 3rd option. lol

All about the quality of the fit and cut, fabric and general style. Anything off the peg is going to need tailoring to look best. Avoid anything fused and if you can get a fully canvased suit then do it.

As most men might agree, the middle tax bracket will win out! Zara is beautiful for some clothing items. Tom Ford is exquisite, and you pay for it. In any case, it essential to look and feel your best!

They got the fit of that Tom Ford suit wrong. It's too tight, that's why the suit pinches into an 'X' at the front when you button it up. People who know what they're doing aren't dropping 10g's on a Tom Ford, they're going to master tailors for full bespoke. Tom Ford is for nouveau riche.

Tom Ford suits jackets have that waist supression. It does look like it just fits him right, maybe a tiny bit on the slimmer end. it's hard to say how it feels since I'm not him, and I don't have his pathetic knowledge.

Tailoring is amazing, My mom didn’t believe me at first but when I got my suit tailored for it to fit me way better than it did before... damn it looked great to be honest
@sydney33393 жыл бұрын
Honestly can’t tell the difference between all three of them in the Thumbnail of this video, the funny thing is the Zara suit looked better than all of them. Once again proving that price doesn’t matter jack shit as long as the suit looks good and fits your frame of body and is a slim fit, you’ll knock out the park 11/10

400 for tailoring alone, on top of the 6000 you just spent? No way, you can go full bespoke for that price.
