An awkward moment that I remember from the Lover secret session in London: There was a group of girls sitting on the floor chatting and Tree didn’t see them and almost fell over them. this video was so informative and entertaining. thank youu. i’ve personally never had the chance to attend a secret session but i think one of my biggest hesitations with it is being surrounded by psychos to be quite honest 😅 i’m a swiftie but the community can be extremely infuriating as most treat her like some god and also dump on others. i’m not pulling the whole “i’m not like other girls” card lol, but i’ve been attacked for so many of my taylor swift opinions that don’t even involve her - i’ll say something as simple as my thoughts on a song and next thing i know i get death threats 💀 so yes, this video was really refreshing and thanks for that! i just found your channel but i love the vibes you give off💕

I understand where you're coming from! But New Year's Day is an emotional song at least in my opinion. Rep is a very important and precious album to me. Songs started being released shortly before my dad's passing and then after my 13th birthday rolled around and my mom had surprised me with tickets to LA night 2! I've been listening to her since I was 6 years old and her music has carried me through so many pivotal moments in my life! And this era really connected with me where I was then. Grieving the loss of my dad as well as dealing with a handful of other trauma's and burdens. And when I first listened to New Year's Day it brought me to tears (definitely not hysterically sobbing though lol). The song feels very reminiscent to me. As if lovingly looking back onto precious memories with someone you didn't end up having forever with. And because of that and the impactful time the album was released it always strikes a very strong chord in my heart! 🫶🏻

As a Lover secret sessionners I totally recognize myself in your video😁 I also had the chance to meet Taylor before the SS and I find it surreal 1- I think that the problem of the contracts in the case of the Rep Secret Sessions was solved when it was Lover since we received the contract by email two / one week before the event 2- During my secret sessions Taylor said that SS was her favorite tradition 3- In Lover SS London most of the swifties were adults. But yes there were some pretty cringe moments. For example Tree almost stepped into one of the girls and she apologized and the swifties said to her: you can step on me🤡

went to a nashville lover ss & two things: 1) so true bestie there absolutely *were* mainly 14 year olds at the event, i was fighting in the trenches almost by myself as a 21 year old, i lost clumps of my hair from some of the trauma 2) we got our nda's sent to us via email & jus had to bring them to the event signed so its such a juicy morsel that they made you guys sign them w ipads at the event like sjkdjkfksjds that's so unhinged: the most important binding legal document of ur life and you dont even know it was djkfjdjd ok i lied one more thing: it was so surreal watching you recount this because we had such similar experiences and it was like me reliving it one more time and i just love ur content king, keep! it! up! please & thank you

I love TS, but considering how she is such a fighter for fairness in the industry, it is hypocritical to give contracts with no time to read them. This should have been sent in advance, and you are entitled to a copy of anything you sign. The pressure to sign seems unfair, and while I understand that she needs privacy, secrecy and safety, your safety is just as important, and you are in someone's house you do not know.

And, anyways, i been in USA a lot of times because my sister lives there and i always think there is a change that i may be able to meet her, just because iam in the same country as her hahaha. I completely get it when you said that as you get older the feeling of meeting with her change, like i know i would loose my mind but i will try to act chill because she is been so devoted at doing this sessions for so long, and even knowing that yes, at the end is a marketing moves ( thought, i thinks it as been evolving into that, but at first i have no doubt that it was a genuine propose of meeting us), the true is that she dont have to do it anymore. I’m autistic and want to go to one someday, but I’m not sure how I would work out transportation/people staying with me because of the different rules and how they sometimes change and what not. I've always thought the idea of a message from Taylor Nation in your DM's would make anyone do anything. I hate that travel isn't included. I've never been able to go to her shows, I can't afford them. The thought of getting a message but not being able to pay and feeling like you just missed out on a once in a lifetime thing like that would devastate me. Idk, just doesn't seem fair.

now that's a whole can of worms....well, people definitely weren't happy! but I had kind of shifted my mindset (I didn't really care lol.) I don't mind what people say about me getting 'unfair' attention....meeting Taylor is like the hunger games at the end of the day

I love this and ur takes but i still dont think the secret sessions is a marketing strategy, (as an intentional thing) even in part. though maybe thats what you meant. It seems like not worth it from a marketing sense, intentionally at least. Sure its fan service, but a lot more easier fan services could easily keep her relevant. Sure, she can exhibit business like behaviour in them, mostly dedicated swifties know about this, and i honestly believe she does these things because its genuinely rewarding for her, like from the start. She seems like she loves people, and meeting them, it honestly feels like creating another plus to being so famous, as it gets REALLY lonely really fast having so many fans that you just see as a face in an ocean of stadiums, i think.. Thats not to say marketing strategies are shallow, but this is honestly an extremely high cost operation logistically and incredibly risky despite the security, theres always a risk something will happen to leak things yk? I feel the added pressure for me ever getting invited is that ur in her house and for me its like ur in the snakes nest even though shes really nice it feels so jarring, like, i view her like i would like, say a teacher at my school, so if im at my house i imagine it would feel similar to like "wtf why the fuck am i at my teachers house lmao" who knows i might just accept the absurdity and be like oh shit im going to ur house? Ok cool ill asmire it like an artwork or museum! ALSO IM SCARED TO BREAK SOMETHING IM A CLUMSY ASS WHALE

I was invited to the red live chat. The OG secret session if you will. And there were some odd things that happened but mostly it was just fans who had met her previously, so it wasn’t TOO weird. However, I don’t think her team really thought like oh these kids will need to use the bathroom at some point, so they had to figure out where to take us in Andrea’s house 😂

I would never get invited to a ss because I’m never on social media but I’ve always wondered what they were like. Also what’s with the hate on lover it’s such a great album! And it’s so cohesive. I’m so sad it got cut short. I loved the colors and how positive the album was.
