Thank you for this teaching...God's Truth makes sense so evil men had to find deceitful ways to corrupt it, which pleases men who love their sins. But God knows those who are His...because they obey His Word.

Very well spoken ! We have certainly inherited this fallen world from the beginning of Adam and Eve sin, but not their sin. People seem to use this sin as to justify their own sin of why they sin and can't help it. Unreal !

We are tempted to sin. Sin is pleasing in the short term, but we know it is sin before we act. The temptation is not sin. Acting on it is, even if it is mental, fantasy or otherwise. I believe God's expectation is that we resist his temptation, and call on him to "deliver us from the evil one", Personally not always easy to do, but that is our command.

@@real8342 when we obey him as Noah, Abraham, Jacob, and all the others did in the faith chapter. Isaiah 1:16-20... Our sins are blotted out when we repent (washing ourselves) stop sinning (striving to keep his commandments) and obeying Him. This is what Paul tells us in Romans 6:14-24 We are credited with righteousness when we are righteous. John 3:21, 1 Jo 3:7 It's not an imputed righteousness from Christ. His blood doesn't blind God as the gnostics believed. God can see our ongoing sin. It's also important to remember, holiness and living righteous is not perfection and it's certainly not legalism and it absolutely does not merit you gaining eternal life. That would be a travesty of God's Justice.

@@155mrjimmie absolutely. Every epistle confirms this. James 1:12-16 for example. Letting our temptation give birth to sin, leads to spiritual death. He ends the book with the exhortation to turn believers back to the narrow path to save their souls from death.

Imputation ends when we sin. Gal 2:17-18, Col 3:5-6, Eph 5:1-7, Heb 10:26-31 Love this video, I just wrote a blog on this topic a week ago. We must live righteously for Christ to cover our sins. he died for our previously committed sins. (Ro 3:25, Col 3:3-4) He does not cover ongoing sin. (Romans 6-8; gal 2:17-18, 5:17-24, 6:7-10; Col 3:5-6) I completely agree with Bercot. It's not about perfection, it's seeking perfection in an obedient love faith relationship. Abiding in Him lovingly obeying him and listening to the holy Spirit when we fall short of the grace of God.

if that is the case, why did God say that all of our righteousness is as filthy rags?why did Jesus tell Nicodemus, you must be born again?why does the scriptures say that righteousness does not come through the law?

+Greg Zeno Hi Brother Greg, please consider listening to David Bercot's messages concerning "filthy rags" and his messages on Harmonizing Paul and James part 1 and 2 which address the question of righteousness coming from the Law. Please also consider listening to Bercot's message on What the Early Christians Believed About Baptism which ties heavily into the question of when are we born again. kzbin.info/aero/PLUpqh0IgKi_mt9PqX-iWwgNaTMHrX7oKO kzbin.info/aero/PLUpqh0IgKi_nN6qzzoV3g_xk2lSQ0nKEA

+Greg Zeno David W. Bercot has a message on the passage on Filthy rags and you do well to go there and listen it, it will clear for you what well meaning but misinformed preachers told you. One must be born again to enter The Kingdom of God and lastly Faith that does not make itself evident in life is NOT saving faith. It is plainly useless. Read the book of James. No one got saved by Faith Alone. It is Martin Luther's invention. New Testament is clear all judgment upon man is according to what he/she has DONE not believed. Look at it for yourself.

Greg Zeno Paul said in Romans chapter 8: "Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, *you will die* . But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live." Where do you read faith alone in those two verses. Paul is literally telling you to STOP sinning so you will live. The Law that was done away with was the ceremonial laws, dietary laws and feasts....because they were a SHADOW of Christ. They were things that pointed to Jesus. Jesus was a fulfillment of those laws...like the feast of tabernacles ( God coming down to dwell with His people)...Jesus was that feast, the ceremony was just a shadow of that feast. The Passover was a shadow too. When Israel put the bloid over their doirposts so the Holy Spirit would pass over them when He slew the unrighteous...jesus fulfilled that as well because His blood cleanses us from sins making God passover us in Judgement. Circumcision is a physical sign of the Jew and a shadow of things to come through Jesus....when a real Jew circumcises the heart...by cutting off the flesh and being righteous. See? Now the only law that didn't pass away was the moral law. And THAT is the law you are required to keep. Jesus tells you this when He says "I give you two new commandments "Love your God with all your heart ,mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself, on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." If you love God you will obey Him. If you love your neighbor you will not slander, murder, envy, lie, covet his wife or his stuff...etc. Sin is violating the MORAL law. You will die trying to keep the 613 laws of the torah. But you will live if you obey the Holy Spirit.

Greg Zeno the only place in the Bible where the phrase "faith alone" appears is in James 2:24. Read the entire bible. You will not see this doctrine of "faith alone".

yes you can make a doctrine for each belief, but until you realize that Paul is a false teacher the argument goes on. Jesus never ever said you are saved by grace.
