The above information by errgsd is suspect. Please do not believe without looking up yourself! The swprs, which is the source quoted, while looking nice and official has been called into question again and again since it’s founding in 2016. Their content has been called “pseudo-scientific”, they “cherry pick” from “questionable studies”, and “resort to conspiracy theories.” It is considered a “tool for propaganda” where “the articles on the SPRS to themselves serve as propaganda, rather than being serious research on the subject.”

@@Runawayslave2023 yeah, sure, a flu that causes brain damage, strokes, heart attacks, diabetes... A flu that puts so many people in hospitals at once that they don't have ventilators for all of them, in the middle of summer??? If you think you're so smart pasting this bullshit all over KZbin, tell me this. What's the infection rate for the flu, and what's for the coronavirus? How long does the immunity lasts for the flu, and how long for Covid-19? I'll tell you. The flu has the infection rate of 1.3, which effectively means that when left to spread freely, one person can in a month infect 15 other people. The Coronavirus has the infection rate of 2.5-3, which means that, without masks and social distancing, in one month, one person can infect FOUR HUNDRED PEOPLE! Add to that that the researchers found no evidence you get immunity that lasts for more than a few months, add to that that Covid-19 is obviously not seasonal, and with the infection rate this high, if this continues without vaccines, masks, and distancing, you could get it 3-4 TIMES A YEAR! Even if it was like a common flu, which it isn't, can you really afford to be sick 3-4 times a year? Even if you're lucky enough that you only catch the mild version the first time, you think you'll be just as lucky the second, the third, the fifth time you catch it? It's just a matter of time before you get a blood clot to your brain and die. The mortality rate is such a superficial, one dimensional, uninformed way to look at the situation.

Also, Trump keeps bragging how the USA "won two world wars" as if they did that singlehandedly. The USA only entered WW2 (Sept 1939 - May 1945) in December 1941 due to Pearl Harbor. The USA hardly fought in WW1 (1914-1918); even after the 'Lusitania' was sunk in 2015, the USA merely sent supplies to European allies. USA only entered WW1 in April 1917. The war ended with an armistice in November 1918, and starting in December 1918 the "Spanish Flu" pandemic -- which most likely, according to historians and modern genetic research, originated in N-America in US Army barracks (where the first diagnosed case was recorded) and was spread to Europe and worldwide by American soldiers -- really got going.

The dude is the president not a scientist do you expect him to sit around reading numbers all day? He has people who’s job is to study the data and give him information. He talks to those people and hears what they say. Does your boss read every listing on the budget or does he ask the accountant to tell him how things are going.
@professorbutters4 жыл бұрын
Tito Montoya He hears what they have to say (“wear a mask,” “it’s not safe to open schools yet,” “a vaccine won’t be ready for a year to eighteen months, and that’s if we’re lucky,” “no, it’s too soon to open up,”), and then he totally ignores what they told him. I’m not even sure if he really hears them. He hears what he want to hear. Then he pulls suggestions from nowhere, like injecting disinfectants. A smart leader would just let the scientists speak and THEN make policy based on that. Which is more or less what the states who have this under control did.

What Wallace showed was the case fatality rate (# of deaths / # of positive tests) which is kind of meaningless. The flu can have a case fatality rate of 20% depending on how many people get tested. The actual fatality rate is the imcident fatality rate (# of deaths / total # of people who have had the disease) and antibody studies consistently show this is around 0.1% like the seasonal flu. Links to a dozen studies showing this are below. According to the latest immunological and serological studies, the overall lethality of Covid-19 (IFR) is about 0.1% and thus in the range of a strong seasonal influenza (flu). In countries like the US, the UK, and also Sweden (without a lockdown), overall mortality since the beginning of the year is in the range of a strong influenza season; in countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland, overall mortality is in the range of a mild influenza season. Even in global “hotspots”, the risk of death for the general population of school and working age is typically in the range of a daily car ride to work. The risk was initially overestimated because many people with only mild or no symptoms were not taken into account. Up to 80% of all test-positive persons remain symptom-free. Even among 70-79 year olds, about 60% remain symptom-free. Over 95% of all persons develop at most moderate symptoms. swprs.org/a-swiss-doctor-on-covid-19/ swprs.org/studies-on-covid-19-lethality/

Except that he is off his rocker and his cronies want to keep him in office so they lie for him. The test was supposedly given over 2 years ago, not last month, by then White House Dr. Ronny Jackson who has repeatedly lied for Trump. He wouldn't even tell Trump's real weigh, saying it was 239 pounds which is magically under the 240 which would make Trump morbidly obese. There is no way Trump weighs less than 300 pounds with that stomach, ass and amount of fast food consumption. Trump is a compulsive liar and excepts his lackeys to be the same; look at the company he keeps with Rudy Giuliani, Kayleigh McNanney and Kellyanne Conway.
