It needs to be graphic I want to see Ridley ripping a scientist and half Sam is fighting for her life in the hospital from the parasite X and her bing hunted down by the SA-X over the course a season with tons and tons of childhood flashbacks I’m a huge fan of Metroid 4 even though the game sucks its the prettiest the story is straight out of alien it’s basically easy mode if you can’t beat Metroid 4 then you shouldn’t play Metroid games it’s by far the easiest Metroid with the classic gameplay

I was a diehard Donkey Kong Country fanboy in my youth! When my older brother introduced me to the cartoon in early 2004, my enthusiasm went through the roof. Because of that, I remember getting more excited over Donkey Kong than I ever did over Pokemon.

You may wanna give the Sonic Boom show a shot. It's probably the first instance of a TV show massively overshadowing the game it originated from. Granted, it was a tie-in production, but unlike the game, the Sonic Boom show has some pretty great moments! The characters are all over the place and tend to very conveniently take whichever role fits the episodes' narrative instead of the character traits, but the humor has some surprising cleverness to it - and it looks good, too! That said, making Metroid a TV show would be an awful idea. 90% of it would be either Samus monologuing or shooting stuff, and the rest would be random aliens. Samus as a charracter has adopted the silence as stoicism and calmness - breaking that can lead to a horrible case of Other M, and the franchise still hasn't recovered from that (all Metroid games since then ranged from godawful to meh).

I don't see how. Besides the game being painfully mediocre, nothing about it implies that anyone learned their lesson. If anything, Samus Returns shows pretty well how little Nintendo cares about the legacy of Metroid.

I do not think a metroid cartoon would be a definite failure. Samurai jack packed lots of story with action and minimal dialogue into its show. But a blaster and a sword are entirely different and their interaction with the world differs greatly.

I legit like a lot of the dialog exchanges and a couple songs in this show, but the actual plots are often awful, the CG’s antiquated, the songs are usually cringeworthy, and it bears very little in common with the games even on a basic level. So it falls into guilty pleasure territory for me :p

For me it really straddles the line between enjoying it ironically and unironically. Like you said the CG is terrible (though I really can't blame it for that), the stories are often nonsensical, and a lot of the songs are dumb. And yet there are numerous moments of legitimate comedic genius, the voice acting is mostly excellent and delightfully exaggerated, and even the dumbest songs are pretty fantastic. I always compare it to something like He-Man: it is technically low-quality, but there is enough ridiculousness and competence to make it highly enjoyable.

The show was animated with motion capture which it's pretty impressive. The plots and the song was just meant to be silly. All of the voices were completely awful (except to Donkey Kong because... you know? Coconut cream pie?). Also, Kong is just being dumb at the times and messed up in every episode. I would'nt recommended this show but I kinda find the show is decent.
