I worked at Puma last year (did the 6months internship from April to October) in Herzogenaurach. What I can say, is that the whole football design staff was either fired or transfered to other departments. So nothing like this will happen again P.s. it was literally funny when Borussia Dortmund said no to this 3rd jersey. There was slight remodelling (they've added the club's crest) but it was lots of work back then because of them

@@franciscobarriossaenzdetej3170 tbh, I don't want to bash Puma as they treated me right and some of the stuff I simply don't know What I can say, though, through my own experience, is that even in my department there were much more people with design or fashion backgrounds (having degrees in fashion management, design and etc). And it was sometimes really insane to me tbh , e.g., when some would receive emails, they had no clue what BVB, OM or ACM stand for or were surprised when certain collections would pop up (I can think of Sassuolo or Girona - people didn't even know that such cities exist, not talking about football clubs) And that is I think the biggest issue of the company. They've been too much focused on fashion in the last 20-25 years and have, hence, people working there who know nothing about football. But already when I was there they've started assigning people with sports backgrounds and I saw a beginning of changes, but apparently there's a long way to go

I'm a graphic designer and when it comes to football kits, the 1st and 2nd kits goes under some rules (club's colors, both must have different colors and the brand's style guide) so the 3rd one has the most freedom for creativity and that what makes it stand out.

Third kits aren't necessarily bad. There's about a 1 in 3 chance it's your best kit. That's why these kits are such a tragedy.

I can't believe clubs agreed to that. Puma literally erased their team badges and put their own big logo in centre. And all shirts are similar except for colors. As if they're not club kits but actual Puma original shirts that you would wear for PE im middle school. How could this be allowed? If I was a president of fucкing Milan I'd end their contract with Puma. I know they want to market their brand but man are they obvious about it.

To be fair to Borussia Mönchengladbach, just Borussia is the shortest way to describe them unless you want to go into (semi) questionable territory with things like BMG, B.
