Any law passed in the Indian Parliament must be within the four corners of the Constitution. The Citizens Amendment Act is not, and that is the root of the problem. Moreover the BJP has a baggage of history, which it can neither wish it away nor erase it. All this adds to suspicion in people's minds about BJP's real intentions and those suspicions are real. BJP has unwittingly saddled itself with a mill stone around its neck. There is no way out for BJP except to repeal this act. But even if it does repeal the act, still this move will be debated threadbare for years to come. CAA is a festering sore that BJP has inflicted on itself. Pakistan must be jumping for joy at the predicament that Modi is finding himself in!!!!!

They were the ones who supported Myanmar with weapons and technology in Rohingya crisis which was a huge trigger for this NRC bill! Think about it, we have to face a profit making country which does every little thing to exploit any crack in order by giving weapons to n east rebels and naxalites/Maoists WHILE keeping strict control over media/any immigration in their own country. Could the Rohingyas even dream of going to China?
