Man, I'm the kind of traveler that goes places and eat what I like. I like Thailand but I don't eat Thai food. Does anyone make a fuss when foreigners come to America and skip out on soul food? Probably not right? Why is it such a big deal that some of us just don't travel for the sake of indulging in these things? Americans are often shamed (typically by other Americans) for not indulging in the culture of other nations yet people come to our country all the time and continue to stick to their own cultures and what they know. Why is it wrong when we do the same?

I think in my case specifically people just want to see me try things outside of what they already know about in the US or things they’ve seen/heard about in different countries. In general though, I definitely think people should allow others to have their preferences!

Pho is average for me. My favorite dishes are Bo Kho, Bun Dau Mam Tom, Oc, Car Ri De, Bun Thai, Bun Cha, Cha Ca etc
